Bollywood Celebrates Modi's 75th Birthday
He is someone who is immensely popular amongst the masses. A thorough and a dedicated professional, Gurmeet Choudhary has redefined the definition of success in the small screen space. Winner of Jhalak season 5, he is all set to burn the stage with his wife Debina in Nach season 6.
In a talk with Tellychakkar.com, the actor gives some investment tips to our readers.
How important is money to you?
Though money is important to me, but it is not very important. I give more importance to relationships than money.
Are you an impulsive buyer?
Hmmm...I don't think so I am.
What are the investments that you have made?
I and Debina (his wife) have invested in property, mutual funds and some stocks.
What has been your most expensive purchase?
My home.
Do you feel financially secure?
Of course, yes. At this point I would like to mention that if you have a house to live in a city like Mumbai, you are financially secure.
Who handles your expenses?
My account manager.
What was your first salary?
It was Rs. 1,500 that I earned when I did an ad.
How much money do you carry every day?
I am the kind of person who believes in using debit and credit cards. As a matter of fact, I even hate withdrawing cash from the ATM as then I feel guilty of me spending.
Your advice for new investors?
I would love to advise new investors that out of what you earn, 40 to 50 per cent should be saved. This is what my dad taught me and I would like to teach the same with others. And if you really want to invest money, I feel buying a property is the safest proposition. Mutual funds and stock prices may go up and down but a property would always give you a good return.
