Thanks for encouragement guys. I will incorporate some of the original PV scenes into my story since I love those so much myself. Most of the college scenes are modification of my own personal experiences.

Chapter 1:

A swift wind blew by as Yash was going back to his car. He turned around towards the college entrance. His deep eyes focused towards the entrance. He was feeling as though he was being called upon by someone in there. "Yash...what happened?" yelled his brother. Yash quickly shrugged off an uneasy feeling in his stomach and left in the car. ...at the same time,

Aarti looked towards the exit of the college...why was she feeling a longing to step outside and see who was there...the wind blew again..."Hello Miss Aarti..?? where are your thoughts???" She was about to open her mouth when they all heard the screeching bike wheels again.

The bell rang, and everyone dispersed. One of the girls came in front of Aarti and Mansi "...we are not here, we'll meet again soon" she winked and left. Both the girls dashed into the ladies room and laughed nervously..."oh my god Mansi...that was close..."..."yeah Aarti...who knew how first day would be...a lot of handsome dudes too!" Aarti just rolled her eyes..."you are too much Mansi! Chalo, lets go, its time for class anyway". Then Aarti suddenly gave Mansi a tight hug "Thank you Mansi, for everything!"...Mansi knew what Aarti meant and simply said "ok, dont get too emotional on me. What did I do? We are lucky to get into the same college!"

Aarti was in Arts major and Mansi was in Engineering. Aarti just had a passion for Arts and when she got in with merit, there was no stopping.

All the first year students had Math and Language as a common class to take. Mansi and Aarti headed to the same class and were excited that they were finally in college! The students sat down. Professor entered the class and introduces herself. She asked the students to introduce themselves and tell a little background about themselves. "family and what their goals where". Mansi eyed Aarti. Aarti nodded back saying she was ok. One by one, everyone answered the questions. Mansi's turn came - "Hi, I am Mansi. I am a Bhopal native and my father works at the electricity board as a head engineer. My mother stays at home. My goal is to become an engineer and head to the US for higher studies".

"Hi everyone, my name is Aarti. I grew up with my grandfather until 2 years ago since my parents died in a car accident when I was 5. He passed away 2 years ago and I have been living with one of my relatives until I got admission into this college and hostel. I am originally from a small town in South India. Mansi has been my neighbor and friend for last two years. I look forward to making more friends here." ...and she gave a small smile looking around at everyone in the class.

The class fell silent. Finally, the professor welcomed her and told her not to hesitate if she needs any help. Aarti was thankful. After class, she made more friends...maybe the ones that were moved by her story.

Yash and Pankaj drove into the parking lot of Scindia and Sons Industries. It was a 6 story glass building, a tad bit fancy for its neighborhood. But economy was booming in Bhopal and Suraj Pratap Scindia did not delay in making his sons join his business. "Come on Yash..." said Pankaj. Yash followed his brother. Their father had been waiting, saw his sons walk in and welcomed them with a warm smile and hug. "Oh...here they are, my sons...come in, come in..."

"Good morning Bauji" said both in unison.

"Come on Yash...let me give you a run down of your roles..." he walked in with Yash into his office.

It was 4:30pm. Classes ended. Mansi and Aarti were to meet back at the bus stop in the college grounds. "Lets go Mansi...you have to take another bus and I have to be at the hostel by 6pm...if we miss this bus, then warden will kick me out!"..."Then let her Aarti, you can stay with me"...Mansi grinned. "Mansi, dont talk stupid...lets go yaar"...and she dragged Mansi to the bus stop.

"Okay baba, I am coming...slow down, lets go" she was giggling.

Both of them were running when suddenly Aarti ran into a two guys. "Ouch" they all screamed together. "So sorry.." said Aarti. Both the guys just smiled and "its ok...go ahead, you may miss the bus"...

...Aarti and Mansi got in the bus. Aarti looked back to see the two young men casually stroll into the college corridor and disappear. She wondered who they were.

Yash was tired and overwhelmed but he was excited to start helping his father. He sometimes felt guilty about having it the easy way...and his friends had to look for jobs...but Pankaj said business was always risky and their father had been counting on them to take over from him someday...He was getting ready to leave, when Pankaj came by "Yash, I need to stay back with Bauji. He wants me to meet this client. So you take the car and leave. Its your first day, so I dont want you to be overwhelmed too much. I'll see you at home, ok?"..."Sure Bhaiyya, I need a break" he grinned and caught the car keys his brother threw at him. "What should I tell Bhabhi?" he winked. "Thanks, but I already called her" Pankaj said sharply in return. "...oh so you got permission first?" Yash pulled his brother's leg...

Pankaj just shook his head and left.

Yash took the car, and drove home. He stopped at the stop light waiting for a green signal. Then he felt it again, there was a breeze...he felt uneasy...then all he saw was a Orange dupatta on his windshield.

He slowly started to unwind it from his wipers and it seemed the lady was stopped because of it. Who is she, why is she not even turning...

Aarti was in a hurry, she felt her dupatta got stuck, and was frantically trying to pull it, not turning...suddenly she felt it let go, and she felt a breeze...she had to cross the crossing by then, so without turning she ran to the other side. Yash sat back in her car, and drove away...Aarti turned to see...but she couldnt figure it out...

...Yash turned on some music to clear his head...and then he heard his favorite singer Celine Dion's song...

Every night in my dreams
I see you, I feel you
That is how I know you go on
Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on
Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on...

...he had to turn it off when he got a call.."Yash Bhaiyya, can you pick me up please" Prateek, his younger brother called..."did you miss the bus again Prateek?" ..."Sorry Bhaiiya. can you please?" Yash sighed and made a u-turn. "Ok, I'll be there in 20mins. Wait for me, dont wander off!"

Chapter 2

Prateek was waiting for his brother at the bus stand. Prateek was finishing up his diploma and he got selected to join the Culinary Academy of India in Hyderabad. Suraj was not happy with his son in the kitchen, but when he saw some of the latest cooking channels and shows, he changed his perception. Yash played a big role his convincing his father to let Prateek follow his passion. Prateek and Yash were close being only two years apart. Prateek was set to leave in six months and he was wrapping up in college.

"ok Prateek lets go!" Yash yelled from the car. Prateek ran to the car and sat down..."Sorry sorry, lets go"...Yash pulled his ear and started the car.."Idiot! how many times must I tell you to be responsbile...how will you stay in Hyderabad all by yourself.."..."Ow Ow...! bhaiyya, come on now.." The car was filled with laughter and bickering all the way home.

Yash and Aarti prepared to wind down for the day reflecting back on that eerie feeling they both had today...shrugging it off they slept peacefully as the moon light shone unto their eyes as they slid into their dreams.

A new day, a new beginning...

Yash got up early, got ready for work. Gayatri - his mom and Vidhi - his sis-in-law were already up and busy in the kitchen like always. Sometimes Yash wondered if they were okay, same thing every day, don't they get bored he thought as he walked into the kitchen. "You are awake beta? Oh my, you are ready already? Did Bauji already dump a lot of tasks on you?"...Gayatri suddenly started worrying for her darling son. Yash smiled and gave his mom a hug "...no Ma, don't worry. I like it this way. I like to give it my best and make Bauji proud and help take this company to a different height. I am totally fine. Of course your lazy son Prateek is still sleeping...shall I kick him awake?"...Gayatri gave him a pleading look "dont say that in front of your father. You know he will start off on Prateek non-stop...anyway, what do you want? I made some hot idlis for breakfast. Vidhi...lets get it ready..."

"Oh ma, my favorite! I love idlis, thanks Ma!" he shoved a full idli into his mouth. "Yash, careful beta...dont shove it like that, you will choke...oh god...at this rate, I think we need to get you married to a south Indian girl, you can eat idlis daily!"...at this, Vidhi let out a hearty laugh..."yeah mummyji! that will be great, someone to come in and have our Yash bhaiyya be in a dhothi all day...wow, I can almost visualize that..." Yash's eyes widened as he looked at his bhabhi...he knew where this conversation would eventually go. He quickly finished breakfast.

Yash left to work, smiling and remembering his conversation with his mother and babhi. He thought it was too soon for him to get married. Pankaj Bhaiyya had gotten married right after his graduation to Vidhi Bhabhi. But he loved to have a sister in law. So he didn't complain. Yash just graduated with a Architecture degree and wanted to pursue more design or business development classes that will help their business.

His father however needed Yash to help out as they were growing rapidly at this time. Scindia and Sons had two branches - construction & design, and event planning. Yash was happy that his father looked to him as capable of helping out and in a way he will get some work experience as well. He passed by Bhopal university and remembered what he felt a day ago...for a minute there, he thought if he should drive into the college driveway and just look around...but he let it go and drove to work. He was remembering his college days. Hardly anyone knew him as a guy from a rich family. Yash never drove to college in a car. He always took the bus and was down to earth. He was helpful and made many friends very quickly. He was reliable and got 85% overall. He always thought had he put in a little more effort, maybe he could have gotten 90%. There were a few girls behind him too.

Yash smiled again at the thought...and wondered how come he missed out on finding someone special for himself...na..he was too focused in his career. He slowed down, looked in the college direction and drove away...

Aarti got dressed in a simple salwar set and got ready for college. She walked to her bus stop, awaiting Mansi. Mansi arrived by another bus, got down, ran to Aarti and gave her a tight hug. "How is the hostel? Did you eat dinner ok? I missed so much yesterday. I missed our evening chats...Oh Aarti, must you stay here?" ... "Done? I like it there Mansi...finally, no nagging or sarcastic comments. I appreciate my uncle and aunt for supporting me for 2 years, but I really needed to get out. I had a peaceful sleep last night"...Aarti smiled.

The two friends were chatting away and did not notice two guys approach them from behind. "HELLOOO!" said one of them close to Aarti's ear.."Aaah, oh my god!" she shrieked taken aback by the loud greeting. She stared at both of them. "Hi there, didnt we bump into each other yesterday?...well, don't be so shy, we are friendly people...what are your names?" said one of the them.

"...ummm...I am Aarti and this is my friend Mansi"..Aarti blinked at them. "Ok cool names yaar! We are in third year - Civil Engineering. I am Aman and this is Aakash. We are friends too and hang out together. We also play on the college cricket team. I bat and Aakash here is an all-rounder" He proudly introduced themselves. Aarti and Mansi were at a loss of words. This was not what they were looking toward start of their second day. "Great, no escape now" Mansi thought inside her head. "Oh look the college bus is here, come on, you girls sit with us ok?" ...Aman sat next to Aarti and Aakash with Mansi. "So Aarti - where are you from? tell me about yourself"...asked Aman.

-------
Sorry all...I thought, Yash and Aarti can meet in this chapter. But it seems like its a bit far out. What do you all think so far? Is the story interesting enough? I thought I needed to introduce some of the key characters of the story too.
