The Show and The Forum.

Is there a link between the way the protagonists and/or the story is presented and the atmosphere in the forum?

I have been on IF for few years now and honestly I can say that I have never ever seen a forum like ours. 😳I still remember our first month on this forum. Chaos reigned. Bashing and what not. But slowly as the story progressed, the ones that truly enjoyed the story remained and we all learned to coexist. However, in my opinion a big part of it had to do with how the characters of Yash and Aarti were written. The writers never polarized them. The writers never glorified one to make the other look good. Yash and Aarti were just two normal human beings struggling to make sense of their shattered lives.The writers always showed that both protagonists made mistakes in the process but they also had this desire to correct their mistakes, make it better for their partner and grow in the relationship. It made us love them and root for their success.

It struck me that our forum kind of represents Yash and Aarti's story.😆 Like how Yash and Aarti came together from different backgrounds, we too came from different backgrounds. Many of us were previously attached to different shows, some of were new members who had never seen either of the leads previous shows. Aarti and Yash had tons of differences yet what they never compromised on was their children. They worked hard and worked as a unit to provide love and security to their children. They were very careful in not allowing negativity to reach the kids. Many external forces: Bua ji, Gayatri, Prashant, SP and now Ishita all tried to break up their little family of 5 (or 6) but none succeeded. Kind of like our forum isn't it. 😛We all had our differences about the story and the characters at various point of times during the show but never have we allowed that to affect the peace and unity on this forum nor have we allowed anything or anyone else to tear us apart.

Honestly, what a huge role the writers of a show play in making us love the protagonists as well as in creating a wonderful atmosphere on IF. I know that GC and KS will go on to do different projects but I will surely miss the way we all came together as a group, worked together, respected each other as well as the show and the leads and not just that sustained it for 14 months. Now that is truly something special. 😳

Sorry guys! I guess with just two weeks remaining I am going into my sentimental mode. 🤣
