mausam to mai nahi hu jo aaunga jaunga
rutha jo ek bar to wapas na aaunga
na nana nana na na nana nana na nana
ha ha nana re na
chura lo na dil mera sanam
bana lo apna sanam
ke tere bin na jee sakenge
ke tere bin na mar sakenge
hum soch kar kahenge
dil mera churalo aankho me chupa lo
apna bana lo sanam

I was pulled out of my hiatus because of this...I have no idea when I'll have time to update all the posts I've made recently, but I know I will get to them as soon as I have time to breathe a little bit more freely.
Unexpected...and SO adorable!

Tonight's episode was superb!

Loved the AarYa scene, Ishy being thwarted, and even the new beginning of the Paridhi-Prateik infertility angle.

Gurmeet and Kratika were absolutely phenomenal in both the hospital scene and the scene in their room. They have such excellent comic timing and a naturalness to all of their scenes. Awww and baby Aayu is just so precious ❤️! Ishy Fishy should stop setting her buri nazaar on him.

I liked the Paridhi-Prateik scene as well. I'm glad to see them being back to the forefront as well. That means less of IshAk scenes, although not less of Fishy 🤢.

Can't wait to see tomorrow's episode! The week has started off great!

Borna, I'm so glad this episode got you out here to post and catch your breath from your studies for a bit, even if very briefly. Such a good one today. Total WORD on Nina's review. A quickie from me tonight:

1. Ansh, Palak, and Payal are a little army to be reckoned with! "Poor Papa! He can't sleep without kissing Momma good night so he's gone to the hospital to meet Momma." / "Can you leave the room so that we can sleep?"/ "Sweet dreams, Chachi!" Being privy to Yash's secret getaway, they sprung a preemptive strike on the crazy lady's surprise attack! They are such champions and guardians of their parents' love story because of what it means for them as well. While they were defending the home front, Baby Aayu was doing his part elsewhere.

2. Yash and Aarti's spontaneous love chase in the hospital room was adorbs. Classic Yash and Aarti, who are always full of flirty fun. Fantastically directed and, of course, fantastically performed by Gurmeet and Kratika. The moment Yash took off the surgical mask and looked at Aarti, my Mom said, "Kiss her!" I must admit, it was indeed a really great "kiss moment." *I'm telling you if PV was a US soap, lol* One of my favorite parts of the whole love chase came when she was trying to get him to let go of her hand under the baby cradle, eventually leaving him high and dry to go hiding, lol. Can't forget Gurmeet's "Give me an award, baby, I'm so the man" face when Yash kept himself from falling on Radha -- priceless! 😆 Then, the final shot of them on the bed together all smiles and looking at Aayu was just wonderful. Also loved the follow-up scene in their room when they returned home. I cackled like mad woman when Aarti told Yash that he only had one thing on his mind. 🤣 It reminded me of their SR when she initially thought the same thing, but had misread him and had a much different reaction then. What a difference a year and falling in love makes! I love these two! Kratika and Gurmeet just hit every beat of both scenes at the right time.

3. Paridhi and Prateek's scene was heartbreaking, but a really intriguing beginning to a possible new arc. A future story could go in different directions:

(a.) An IVF arc;

(b.) An adoption arc. Not of Aayu, please! As much as Yash and Aarti love Prateek and Paridhi, I can't imagine them sacrificing Aayu nor do I want to see them sacrifice Aayu. However, Paridhi helping to take care of him on one or two occasions could certainly spark attempts to adopt from outside of the family;

(c.) A surrogacy arc (not sure how popular this idea is in India);

(d.) Maybe it's Prateek, not Paridhi, who may be infertile, as I've seen others speculate earlier today. It would be a really good issue to explore if the Mittals choose; or

(e.) Once their issue is exposed, someone in the family may insist Prateek divorce Paridhi and marry a young woman who could have children, thereby referencing the PV theme again. Admittedly, it's fodder for melodrama and Maayka also had a similar arc when it was on the air. Nevertheless, I threw that in there because it could be a start-off point for exploring an IVF, adoption, surrogacy, or male infertility arc in earnest.

I'm sure there are other possibilities. I'm very interested to see where the Mittals decide to go with it. This has great potential, especially to involve other members of the family. 😃 Small, but positive steps. Hopefully, we see a strong, emotionally resonant arc involving the kids for Yash and Aarti as well that can easily work with or come from this parallel Paridhi-Prateek arc.

4. Less said on Ishita the better. 🤪 Bua's little smackdown with her, after the kids and Yash deflated her ludicrous plan, was a thing of beauty. Until the writers figure out a way to cut down her inner yapping, I've decided to mute her.

All in all, a wonderful episode made so because of Aarti, Yash, their kids, and the promise of a new parallel arc for Pari and Prateek. I'll be catching the repeat in a couple of hours!

Another quick post from me, LOL!
Loved the reviews, Nina and Jac!
Jac: You just had to mention the SR throwback...The #1 and #2 comments of yours reminded me of all the throwbacks I thought of while I was watching the episode yesterday! Dang it, I want to write about my favorite scenes now! *pouts* It's a good thing I made a post, otherwise I would probably keep those thoughts bottled up forever. I wish I could edit it now, but that would be a very, very bad idea.
I agree about the immense potential that the Prateek-Paridhi issue has - quite a few avenues to go with it, so I'm eager to see which one the creatives take!
P.S. You and your mom! Haha, if PV had been an American show...God knows what all we would have seen by now! 😆

Guys, don't get my hopes high by mentioning things like "Had PV been an American show ... ". 😳😆

I loved yesterday's episode as well! It has been a great week so far, in terms of execution and story-telling. Hope that would be helpful in improving our TRPs. *prays hard* Oh and yes, Ishita, they need to need to cut down on her self-talks (I agree with you on that Jac!). It's becoming repetitive. I am so glad to see PraDhi's story being brought to the front! Ah, good old feeling! <3

Jac and Nina, wonderful takes girls! <3 And Borna, you are back, thank god! 🤗

Borna, there's been so much of the classic PV within the past two episodes this week, weaving in recognizable and established relationships and interactions. It's been great to see. Whenever you have some downtime, it would be nice to hear some of your reflections.

The potential of this new arc for Paridhi-Prateek and the possibility of it involving everyone, including Yash and Aarti, is giving me hope. I just hope the TRP viewers give the show a chance in these coming weeks, so the Mittals can pursue it.

Anu, so with you on the direction and writing of Tuesday's episode and Monday's as well. I too am hoping it helps in giving the TRPs a little boost upwards. Hoping for the best! Oh, I'm hoping. On the Crazy One, she's circling the drain right now in terms of the text and I'm just ready to get on with it.

Borna, Anu, I've seeing so many requests for a kiss on the forehead, at the very least. And I totally get where they're coming from since I, not too long ago, was also requesting a little more of the Hybrid Yash and Aarti we see in off-show promos/dances. So, the things we would have seen, in terms of character interaction, romance, as well as storytelling, would indeed have been quite different if PV was US developed for primetime. 😆

*stifles a yawn* Can't sleep yet! 😵
Anu: 🤗 I haven't even been gone for very long, hun! It's been, what, a day? I'll be disappearing again, unfortunately, so make sure you reserve a post in the Epi 305 DotD if you want me to bug you later!
Jac: *nods along to everything written to both me and Anu*
I will certainly be back to jot down my reactions to that episode, so until then, it's business as usual for the rest of you!
I'm hoping that the combination of dramatic (and some more subtle) revelations related to the story arcs as well as Yash-Aarti's strengthening romance is going to at least prevent a drop in ratings for this week's episodes. Praying for the best.
I also love what you said about the Crazy One...Can I join you in your boat?
Aside: Anu and Jac, I love, love, love your avis! JJSS is always such fun to watch! And that silhouette shot of Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin is just so strikingly perfect...God, I have so much admiration for the crew behind the camera of this show...
Edit: Okay, I see that Jac has changed her avi...Awww! Yash-Aarti-Aayu are just too sweet.
Another aside: All these "articles" with their "sources" I'm not going to believe anything until I see something pop up on Zee TV itself. We can all play the guessing game forever otherwise. If people are getting mixed up between PV and the Mittals' new show, well, I'm going to sit back and enjoy the show while it lasts.
Running away now...Need to read some more before I accidentally fall asleep between the pages of my books.
