Even I did not want to ruin the mood of PVians/KSians here and rooting for their positivity although I know their heart also crying and they are trying their best to hide it but after reading your post I could not control my feelings any more. I don't blame any actor, PH or channel for it. I just wish the news is false and if it's true please confirm it rather than spreading rumors and can any body please gives us another project with our GK together..movie...daily shop whatever...I know this has to end some day but like you I am not ready for so soon...Plz God do some miracle and give me some unexpected sweet news so that I can divert mind😭😭😭
Borna, just catching up with your last post. I hear you about not being able to go too long without watching an episode. I miss episodes every now and again as well. You do better than I do, however, because you catch up with lost episodes. Usually, I'm unable to. Still, I can't stop watching the show for too long either. Can't and don't want to break this habit just yet. 😛 Oh, I heard about that Vishwamitra-Menaka reference Ishita made. I just watched the episode and I think the reference flew past me, partly because I'm not familiar with the story and partly because things get lost in translation for me sometimes. Now, see, if the writers really pursue this course, it will all depend on how it written. As you rightly said, it can go two ways with the TRP viewers. So I just hope they gauge what they want to achieve well. I completely understand that her obsession needs to run its course. Nevertheless, too much of anything really isn't good for anything or anyone. More than anything else, I believe the TRP viewers want to be reassured that the main story of the show is still about and firmly centered on Yash, Aarti, and their children.
I must admit that you're right about Ishita being off-screen. 😆 *sigh* A little wishful thinking on my part, but I still hope the writers indulge us a little, especially for the rest of the week as the baby is born. Ultimately, it might help to try to balance things out.
Speaking of the TRP viewers in relation to the "aggression and push-pull" romance that they seem to favor since they've been getting a steady diet of that from other soaps and come to expect that in every soap. It's unfortunate because some haven't unlearned that expectation enough to really see the beauty of Yash and Aarti's way of interacting. I really am grateful to the Mittals for giving Yash and Aarti the breadth and depth they have. They've spoiled me and set the bar really very high.
Right now, I think Ishita's continued failure has been the best entertainment and remedy for the past couple of weeks where her scheming and Akash's grandstanding has unfortunately dominated. It's something that I hope continues even if or when she becomes more brazen. True on the "blind"/"blindness" irony. She says Yash is blind, but she's the one that cannot see. That whole inner yapping she did when she observed them talk through what happened with Palak tonight just cracked me up. I don't mind that she's a loony tune and she flies off to parts unknown in the cobwebs of her brain, but I'm hoping the writers allow her desperation to become more apparent to someone other than Bua. Loved Bua sending her off to her room earlier in the episode. 😆 But, as long as both Yash and Aarti remain alert and smart versions of themselves around her, I'm good. Aarti's questioning had her running scared, and that's the kind of Aarti we want to see. Soon it will be Yash's turn to have her running scared. Oh, how I hope. 😃
IA on Ishita running for the hills if she was the one who had to face Yash in his Arpita wanderings. 😆 She seems to pity herself a lot for what she's been through, but Aarti has been through a lot too yet she never seemed to pity herself. She learned to survive with a sense of positivity (which can be her strength and weakness) and the kind of woman she is was so integral to helping Yash through his healing process even though she needed her own healing as well.
True story on your entire last paragraph, Borna. The foundation for future story is laid. All the Mittals have to do now is seize every opportunity, if they choose to, and write some great story for Yash and Aarti. I'm looking forward to seeing them with the baby too. That baby is too adorbs not to get a little screen time every now and again. I think a continuing arc about the older children coming from the baby's birth would indeed be interesting. It'll just be interesting to see how it's all managed.
Speaking of the kids and the baby, I've got to say, I felt a little nostalgic for Zahida/Gayatri today. I kept picturing her in the scenes with Yash, Aarti, Palak and Paridhi. And then I keep thinking about how thrilled she would be about the baby. Seriously, I don't think she would have let him out of her arms. *sigh*
MJ, Prityanka, LoveViShalini, I think it's safe to say that many of us aren't ready to let go of Gurmeet, Kratika and PV yet at all. I know I'm not ready to let go of their wonderful acting partnership. However, we have to hope for the best and simply wait on confirmation from the Mittals and Zee. If the Mittals indeed feel that they've told the story they wanted to tell in the way they wanted to tell it, then we'll respect that decision. Until we know for sure, however, let's enjoy Baby Scindia making his parents smile. Ah, those pics of them with the baby. Thanks for posting that, LoveViShalini.
Kadeen, I think you've covered the crux of the matter for me in those two points: keeping the TRPs up and keeping viewers engaged in the story. IA, to do either of those things they have to deliver their storytelling in the right way. I'm clueless about the way their creative cycles work, but, for me, part of any recovery means revisiting/refreshing what works for PV, avoiding persistent pursuits of stories and characterization that clearly don't work well, and observing what works in the 10:30 timeslot in general. From what we can tell, TRP viewers want Yash, Aarti and their children as the hub of the show's stories, but, as you rightly said, these viewers definitely also want their parts in the stories to be told better than they have been of late. I think it's all very doable, but the Mittals and their team have to seize every opportunity.
Aw, Anu, I didn't mean to make you sad about Zahida. I don't know why, but I just couldn't help remembering Gayatri today. IA that Dolly is doing great with the little they give her. Radha hasn't been handled very well as a character since her entry, but Dolly has been really good and patient, IMHO.
I agree with you and Borna regarding what you guys have said about Ishita. My mum is actually liking the fact that none of her plans are working out right now. So, although we are annoyed by her (Ishita), to a general viewer, she is an unintentional comic relief (just like Bua ji, though Bua ji is a little hard to understand at times). I guess it's a good thing that the CVs have moved away from showing Ishita as simply a manipulator who doesn't get caught. I would love it if she gets caught, like tomorrow even, but right now, it's quite fun to see how delusional she is and how nothing's going according to her plan(s). Hope this continues. As for her trying to be a seductress, well I don't think she would be successful (as usual) because it seems like before she would get a chance to woe Yash, Aayu/Ayush would enter the picture, after which YA would be really busy so I don't think Ishita has much of a chance.
Aw, it's so cool to hear your Mom is responding well to that too. As onliners I think we have a way of looking at things differently, so I like to hear to what general/offline viewers think as well. On the bold, IA. I think the fact that she's not getting away with much of what she's doing may be a better option, especially since what she really wants is based on something very intangible -- an illusion -- so the chances for her failing are higher. When she was feeling humiliated and vengeful, it was something more concrete; she had her understandable reasons for being as angry as she was, so her attacks worked better. But the moment she began fully running on the figments of her imagination, success is harder to grasp for her and I think that makes it easier to swallow for us as viewers. She still manipulates and smirks, but there's some sense of satisfaction and payoff to see Yash and Aarti effortlessly maneuver her and kill her plans without being aware. Thing is, I don't think the writers can afford to have her circle the same field for so long without landing soon. Either she's going have a soft introduction to reality after the baby is born, or she's going to do something so magnificently bad that she's thrust into reality by Yash clearly reiterating that his heart is with Aarti and his kids. I'm all for rude awakenings, so I honestly won't be against the latter. 😈 But IA, I don't think she'll be successful in seducing him either if she tries. I just want him to have his own chance to respond to her, if needed, along with with Aarti.
Can't the CVs just expose her, settle her scores and send her and Akash off on a honeymoon (with a one-way ticket). We are better off without this PDA couple, IMO.
😆 I wouldn't complain if that happened.
