Aayu's Kasam

Aayu: Psst papa!!
Yash: Not now Aayu…This is romance time for mumma/papa. So, turn your back!
Aayu: "Oh...OK!" After a pause and many impatient tappings of tiny feet, Aayu couldn't hold back any longer, "Are you done? In any case, mumma has caught on to you."
Yash: OK, young one…you are my kid, not my father, so stop giving me tips to romance mumma.
Aayu: Look who is talking? You need my excuse all the time to come closer to her…sometime to feed her, other times by just talking to me.
Yash: Aayu!!!
Aayu: What?? You think I am a dunce? Whenever you go, "Aayu, close your eyes….Aayu turn your back….Aayu go to sleep"…I know it is tax collection time for you.
Yash: Hold it right there, buddy! I hear ya…What's it? What's so urgent?
Aayu: I just wanted to remind you of mumma's plan regarding dadaji & dadi's marriage. She mentioned about me in it.
Yash: Yeah, you're very much part of the Project PV.
Aayu: So, what are we waiting for…let's go.
SP goes all ballistic when he hears what Yash and Aarti want as a gift for his grandchild after they have extracted a promise out of him. Aayu sees his parents hemming and hawing.
Aayu: Papa!!
Yash: Shssh!!! Wrong time, Aayu. Be quiet.
Aayu: I just wanted to know…Is that all? Was that all the plan was? Give my kasam and voila! Dadaji agrees.
Yash: Err…more or less that was it.
Aayu: (Sigh) Looks like I have to do something.
Yash: What?
Aayu: Talk to dadaji.
Yash: Aayu…NO!
Aayu: Psst! Dadaji…here…it's me… Aayu.
SP: Not now, Aayu…I am talking to the dunce duo…your esteemed parents.
Aayu: But dadaji, this concerns my gift.
SP: So??
Aayu: So I am holding you to your kasam…and demanding my gift…Pronto!!
SP: Aayu, stay within your limits!
Aayu: But I am keeping to my limits, dadaji…I don't have too much space to maneuver around here, you know!
SP: I meant about what you are asking as a gift.
Aayu: You mean about yours and dadi's marriage. So, what say? Are you game?
SP: Aayu!! You are my grandchild…and not my grandfather to be dictating terms with me and making such indecent proposals.
Aayu: (Sniffle…sob…sob) I ask you one thing and you won't give me.
SP: Aayu!! Aarti bahu….stop the kid. I can't bear my grandchildren crying.
Aarti: It's between you two, babuji. You promised a gift.
SP: This kasam holds no meaning. I refuse to give in to emotional atyachar by the three of you.
Aayu: Is that your final say, dadaji?
SP: Err…I guess so. I mean, YES, it is.
Aayu: Then, I too take a KASAM that I'll cross these limits only when you and dadi stand there together to welcome me.
SP: What do you mean?
Aayu: Figure it out, dadaji…after all you are my Grandfather!!!!
