Thanks! Yeah it was a selfish reason, but he tried to tell himself he was being selfless by making her hate him... which is so not true! Arpita knew that Yash had feelings for Aarti, but he always told her he didn't, and she couldn't really use that against him could she? Plus, she did love him herself and she did respect what he had to say.

Yeah Yash was being selfish, and he tried to make up for it by having Aarti hate him. He didn't want her to hate him, but he thought he'd be making his selfish act more selfless if he did that, if that even makes any sense. Anyways, Yash was selfish, poor Aarti, but she was happy that she got to go back to Prashant.

Aarti will know the whole truth very soon, if it makes a difference. She might hate him even more because of it.

Maybe she'll return to Prashant, maybe she won't, hopefully the next few chapters explain everything well.
