SATRANGI- SS part 11 updated on page 80 - Page 18

Aarthi was surrounded by a whole bunch of kids. Suddenly she felt a tug on her hand and saw a small girl looking at her. Aarthi bend to her height and gestured her as if asking her what she wanted. The little girl then said

"didi what's your name?"

"My name... my name is Aarthi"

Yash for the first time came to know her name. AARTHI the whole world is like resonating with her name to him. This name kept drumming in his ears. "Aarthi... so my dream girl's name is Aarthi... What a beautiful name!!! Beautiful name to the beautiful lady" So he once again started listening to their conversation.

"didi aap humse phir milne aayengey na?? Will you come again??" that little kid has lots of hopes filled in her eyes. A look at her eyes tells you how desperate she is to have a companion in her life. It is not just the story of this one girl. It is same with every other orphan there. And who better knows what an orphan needs other than Aarthi herself. She then took those little hands in hers and said"Haan beta I'll come, how about a visit every Sunday? Is that ok for you?" the little girl's face did lit like a 1000 watt bulb. She just hugged her with great intensity. Aarthi felt so happy.

Yash who is witnessing all the conversation was spell bound to her generosity and humbleness. He doesn't know why aarthi is feeling so attached to that little girl. If only he knows. Yash bounced back from his reverie to their conversation.

"Waise you didn't tell me your name honey? Tumhara naam kya hain?" Aarthi asked the little kid. "My name is kriti." And then she introduced all the other members to Aarthi. They all got gelled up well with Aarthi. She checked her watch. Its 6 pm already and she has to meet Shoba maa in the hospital and the visiting hours are very limited there. She turned to kriti and said "ok kriti your didi needs to go now. She has some other work to finish up. See you next week dear byee" kriti and all the other kids bid her bye and she is on her way to hospital only to be followed by Yash.

Yash followed Aarthi. He had no idea where she is going now. He has no clue that she will be going to the hospital. He just blindly followed her. Yash felt proud of himself for stalking her without her knowledge now. Because she already had got the idea that she was being stalked while going to the orphanage. So he took care that he wasn't obvious this time around. Yash felt tensed seeing her enter into the hospital. Yash was like "Why is she going to the hospital? Unhe kuch hua toh nahi... no no no nothing can happen to her... ye tu kya soch raha hian yash?? What are you thinking??You have lost it... Look she is all fine...nothing can happen to her... may be she has to come to visit someone..." He saw her going towards the cardiology department. He is looking all somber but fear is gripping him. He is feeling tensed. He saw her going towards the general ward section of that department. There he saw her going into one of the general ward.

There inside the hospital room he saw an elderly lady being monitored on her health. Shoba after having a heart attack for the second time was advised to undergo an open heart surgery. So Aarthi joined her in the hospital. So she was kept under observation for 48 hours to make sure that her body responds to the operation in a positive way. Aarthi went inside, and sat on a stool provided there besides the bed. She slowly kept her hand on shobha's head making her wake up.

"Aarthi,you are here... thank god you are here... am getting bored of these machines, tubes and all... hum chali jate hian beta... we will go..."

"No ma... you aren't going anywhere... it's just matter of one more day and you are going to get operated and then everything will be fine..."

"Nothing will be fine beta... what if something happens to me and..."

"Maa please... stop saying that' nothing will happen to you"

"Dekh beta... I don't know if I can say this to you but...Aarthi, I want you to get married before something happens to me... I want to see you have a family..."

"Maa you are my family..."

"What will happen to you after me Aarthi? Bolo beta... that's why I want you to get married..."

"Maa can we stop talking about marriage now?"

"Ab nahi toh kab Aarthi? When are we going to talk?" shoba is getting hyper and thus making her monitor buzz indicating Aarthi that shobah's heart beat is rising. Aarthi got tensed. She knows that it is not good for shoba's situation now.

"Maa... maa please... shaant hajaiye... calm down.. it's not good for your health... main... main sochloongi iss bare mein... I'll think about it... please you stay calm..."

Yash who is listening to their conversation felt bad about shobha. But he was confused like hell. "Why is Aarthi refusing to get married? What is wrong in getting married? Is she facing any problem?what might be her problem?" He again was restless.
