Arti didn't have a choice, but at least the baby was asleep. And then he started moaning, as the scream penetrated his unconscious, nearly awakening him. Instinctively Arti reached out and patted him gently on the chest. As one of her long fingers brushed past his mouth, he made a sucking motion. Fascinated, Arti brought her finger close to his mouth again, gently touching his lower lip. Ansh immediately latched on to her finger, pulling it into his mouth as he suckled it, soothing himself back to a deep sleep. A chuckle escaped her as she heard the slurp when he finally slept and loosened his hold on her finger.

finally when aarti cried for her lost baby, tears literally came out from my eyes 😭

it was too difficult to hold emotions while reading it. i can't imagine how u wrote it.it must have been difficult for u.

Yes, Ansh has magic - as do all babies. And he unleashed his baby powers on Arti 😊.

These last few parts have been difficult to write - not "writing"-wise per se. But emotionally. I am glad in a way its over. Thank you for being a part of it with me.

We are all so attuned to how Ansh helped Arti - and he did. But you picked up on how she, even in her emotionally damaged and fragile state, managed to help him. The little baby lost his mother so early - he never really experienced a mother's love. And while Vidhi loved and cared for him, he experienced the undiluted love and complete attention a mother gives her new-born from Arti.

Thank you, again. This has been a difficult journey for Arti - and for me. Thank you for being a part of it.

Such a big loss for aarti. It was so heart wrenching especially when she was so numb and drawn back from the world. Everything was taken from her in a flash but then it was really good that she broke down upon receiving that letter of Prashant's admission to the uni for MBA. That was her first road to recovery and with this update, she finally mourned the loss of her child.

So now both Aarti and Yash have lost their life partners. Hopefully Ansh will bring them both together. your updates were beautifully written kat. I nearly teared up. it was so painful to read.loved it.

@bold - you are so right. Arti had to grieve for Prashant and only after she did that could she allow herself to grieve for her lost baby.

I debated about Arpita - then decided to "kill" her off so both Arti-Yash can start from a clean slate. The story about Yash-Arpita though - that's...ummm...convoluted. I really hope i can bring that out properly.

@underline - yes!!! Arti is a fighter, a survivor. Her loss was huge - and her coping uniquely her own. But only a fighter could have survived this kind of loss without losing their sanity or hope from life.
