@Indu - lovely. Sigh - i had quite a bit to catch up to and they made such lovely reading. Arpita as Yash's best friend makes total sense - i really liked the twist with that. And did Yash just find a way to send his parents' to clear any misconceptions Mishti had? Really liking the flow and weave here Indu - but then you are a master story-teller.

Not sure when i can catch up with your future updates. Still not well enough, so am rarely coming online. Do let me know when you update though and i will eventually make my way here.

Hey Kat...you just concentrate on getting well!! The updates are not running away anywhere and they are certainly not more important than your health. Get well completely first...and then come back for the rest.

Thank you for the nice words. Coming from you, they mean a helluva lot.

@Morris: What do I say, my friend!! You made me feel so special with your response...You have picked up lines that I penned in a flow of writing and you embellished them with such heartwarming comments. Gosh...darn it! I have no other word but "touched" to describe this feeling.🤗

Hi Indu! I've been on-and-off the board for all of Thursday, and I finally got the chance to sit down and read the newest update. Catching up just a little from Part 7:

Well...he talks to Mishti to not only stay connected but also because somewhere in his mental convos with her, he finds the solutions to his problems too. This is something his friend Arpita made him realize. He finds it very fulfilling to let Mishti be the guide of his mind, heart, and soul. This is how he has kept her so alive in him.

The way you describe that is beautiful, especially the bold part.

Now, coming to the 8th installment. Once again, another wonderfully written piece. I like your pacing of each new event that brings Yash and Aarti/Misthti into each other's reach, yet keeps them just far enough to keep their anticipation/longing palpable.

His shaking fingers had accidentally pushed the voice mail button. He forgot to breathe for a moment as he listened to the sweet voice…second time in a matter of minutes. Clinching the steering wheel tightly, he pressed his forehead against it. He sat thus for a long time, thinking about her.

This part struck my imagination. Your description of his movements are vivid. And the scene between Mishti, Ansh and Palak is precious.

Mishti sat in a painful daze…"Yashji, I found you once….and lost you twice."

See! It's lines like these that get me. I'm enjoying the ongoing discoveries and the angst. Very intrigued to see how Yash's realization of Aarti/Misth's identity impacts the way his upcoming wedding/marriage plans proceed. As always, looking forward to seeing how the story proceeds. 😃

Dear Gosh Anusha...you just made my day with that comment. I sat laughing for a whole minute. You reminded me of my grandfather. We were a bunch of six grandkids who would pester him for a story every night during our vacations. After few days, he would begin his stalling tactics; for example,"...the ogre had a tummyfull of goodies and went to sleep. The prince waited for him to wake up, etc..."...and then he would close his eyes for a nap...and when after a few minutes of waiting he wouldn't open his eyes, one of us fools would tentatively nudge him, "Dadu, what happened?" And he would murmur with his eyes closed, "Shssh...wait..the ogre is still sleeping. The story can't proceed till he wakes up." And we would sit there quietly...waiting for the ogre to wake up while our clever dadu had his nap. 😆

@Jac: Oh my Happy girl, do you even realize how happy you make me with such glorious comments. Thank you so much. 🤗

That particular sentence has caught many readers' imagination...I remember how it just came to me when I saw myself sitting there in place of Mishti and realizing what just happened. She had just realized that he was never married in the first place...and now she stands to lose him because he most certainly is going to be married...This time she lost him before she could even begin to hope.
