Part 3.
Yash stood on the balcony to his bedroom looking out into the rain lost in thought. Funny how he has started enjoying watching the rain lately. He hated the rain since Arpita's death on that rainy night. But Aarti changed all that. She changed lot of things in his life. She taught him how to live again, smile again, and yes along with lot of other things she also taught him how to love again. Aarti's consistent and Persistent efforts have brought all these changes and she never gave up, even with his wrongful accusations and his ill treatment of her after the Mumbai trip. He feels like he is a new man and he has a second chance at life.
Since yesterday after his visit with Prashant--------(it still makes him very, very angry that Prashant had the audacity to declare that he wants Aarti and Ansh back). Yash had been thinking of ways to approach Aarti to find out what her thoughts and feelings are towards Prashant. He has to find out soon. He knows aarti at one time loved Prashant very deeply and she put up with his abusive behavior towards her due to that love. But since their wedding she has put all that behind her and slowly fell out of love with Prashant and fell in love with him. Yash knows Aarti loves him and is in love with him.
Aarti has been very quiet lately since Prashant came back to Bhopal. Finding out the truth about his cancer was very hard on her. Since the Bone marrow treatment started they both agreed to Aarti helping Shobha Ma with Prashant. With the hospital visits and taking care of the kids Yash and Aarti did not have any time for themselves. He did not want Aarti to feel any stress, but he sensed her struggling to keep calm and not let things bother her too much for the Baby's sake. Yash has been persistent with his care for Aarti and their unborn child.
Yash's thoughts shifted to his son Ansh. Yash is the only father Ansh has known in his life and finally he has both his parents who love him and adore him. How can Prashant even think of uprooting Ansh from his secure world? He has done enough to cause anguish for a little boy growing up without a father. He is still a little boy and unable to understand all the grown up situations. And there is the fact that Prashant never really objected to getting Ansh tested for Bone Morrow compatibility. He knew that his parents were conducting the tests with Ansh without letting Yash and Aarti know about it. That was such a devastating moment for Aarti when she found out her parent's deceit. Thinking about that whole situation makes him feel the pain Ansh had to suffer. What an ordeal they put his son thru, poor Ansh. God, he can not imagine his son in pain physically or mentally. Prashant has no right to Ansh and Yash is not going to let that happen no matter what.
Yash came to a new decision with a determination. He has to be selfish and fight for Aarti and Ansh. He needs to make sure their lives are happy and secure and very much loved by him and his family. Prashant's truth will have to wait. Aarti has a right to know that he is totally, madly in love with her. He wanted to tell her right away. Right now he is very sure that Aarti is under the impression that Yash is showering all the care and attention due to the complications of her being pregnant with their baby. He has to correct that impression as soon as possible.
Yash wanted to make sure he is making the right decision. He wanted to talk to someone to get some advice, but Who? He went to find Pankaj Bhaiyya, he is the only person he can talk to without any hesitation. He found him in the kitchen and asked to talk to him in private. In his haste he did not notice someone lurking outside the kitchen. They both went to his and Aart's bedroom and Yash told him everything including Prashant and how Aarti has suffered at his hands during their married life. Pankaj was initially angry as he was listening to Yash about the lie that was told to the entire family about Aarti being a widow. But as he listened to more of Aarti's truth, he felt lot of sympathy for her and understood what Yash is going thru.
Pankaj already knew that Yash was deeply in love with his wife and he was very happy that his Yash found love again. And Pankaj told himself he was going to do everything that he can to help his situation. He wanted to go and give a piece of his mind to the Dubeys, but with Prashant in the hospital that will have to wait. He told Yash that he should not wait any longer and just tell Aarti about his feelings.
With a newfound comfort level with Pankaj Bhaiyya's advice Yash was rushing to find Aarti and ran smack into someone scrambling from the doorway of his room and quickly caught that person's hand and turned her around and was stunned to see that it was Maya, his Buaji. Her face drained of color she just kept staring at Yash without saying a word. Pankaj also joined them. Yash figured out what Buaji was doing at his door and he was livid. Pankaj put his hand on Yash's shoulder signaling him to calm down. Yash took a few deep breaths and spoke to Buaji in a calm voice and told her that he knows that she was listening to their conversation intentionally, and he also knows that she will do anything to hurt and humiliate Aarti every chance she gets. He is well aware of everything that ever took place between her and Aarti including why Aarti left the house on his Birthday party night. He told her he figured it all out without Aarti ever saying anything.
Yash also told her that he hates lies and his family has a right to know about Aarti being a divorcee. But right now his concern is for Aarti's and the unborn baby's health. He asked Buaji to give him time to find the right opportunity to tell everyone. He pleaded with her saying since she considers him her "beta" to please give him the time to take care of the situation. Yash did not detect any softening in her attitude and even though he did not want to, he told her that the truth will be revealed only by him and if Buaji does not agree to this and causes nay problems for Aarti, he will make sure Buaji will not have a place to stay at Schindia mansion.
Maya was standing like a statue and listening to Yash without saying a word. Pankaj asked Buaji also to give time to Yash and Maya nodded "yes". Pankaj told yash not to worry he will handle Buaji and he made a promise to himself he will keep an eye on Buaji so Yash can handle everything in his own way. Both brothers exchanged a sad look. They both love Buaji very much.
Yash found out Aarti took the kids shopping for some new clothes. So he knew he had a couple of hours to plan something special for Aarti. He did not want any interruptions until he tells her how much she means to him and how very much he loves her. He cannot wait to take her in his arms and never let her go.
