Yeah!! He initiated it, He is in guilt for betraying his first love. He does love Aarti that's confirm as his every bit was explaining it in those "foreplay" scenes. But he is too adamant to accept this fact in his senses.

Yes, he initiated and that's what is bothering him big time because he mentioned it in the SR itself that he is not marrying because of his physical needs but for his kids. So, he doing something like must have shook him from within.
