According to the Rangmunch TRP article PV got a 2.8 in Week 37!

So far this is the only website that has updated the numbers so I am not sure if they're 100% confirmed or not. BALH shot up to a 3.9 this week, so obviously all the promotion and hype of Ram&Priya's meeting worked and negatively effected PV, whose high points were not promoted at all!

Week 37 [9th September to 15th September 2012]

Punar Vivah - Avg TRP: 2.80
[Last week- 2.9]

Yup, the official TRP website just confirmed it, PV did get a 2.8 😒 I know we were expecting higher numbers because each and every episode of last week deserved it, but I guess no promotion in the face of such stiff competition from both BALH and KBC cost us the numbers!

So my biggest worry comes true 😆...BALH did eat up PV's trps ... sighhh ... Anyways its still in top 10 shows which matters the most at the end of the day .. also the fall is not drastic to b honest .. its a slight fall which can b covered up and hopefully with all intense drama going this week , we go up to 3 ..fingers crossed 😳

Lets see the breakdown of trps in this case because then we will hv an idea which day suffered the most because avg normally comes down if one day goes down ...

Here's the average TRP ratings for Week 37 of all Zee TV shows:

Pavitra Rishta - 3.5
Punar Vivah - 2.8
Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuyien - 2.2
Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke - 2.1
Hitler Didi - 2.1
Phir Subah Hogi - 2.0
Rab Se Sohna Isshq - 1.4
Afsar Bitya - 1.0

All of the Zee shows saw a decline in their numbers except for PR and PSH which inched up a little! The margin between PR and PV has stretched quiet a bit again, and I guess with PR having one high point after another, it's going to prove quiet difficult for us to get our channel leadership position back! But at least it isn't anything drastic, and for that I am glad, even though it is a little heartbreaking to see the numbers actually drop after one of the most beautiful weeks of PV!

what is average?

below average

excellent...i mean mittals other show is always above 5...thats almost double to PV

@Maham : I think last week Zee tv ka promotion went completely wrong .. they focussed more on Ranbir kapoor promo gimmick than the actual Aarti-Yash consummation sequence ... ... Also SBS/SBB gave away complete jai jai shiv shankar dance beforehand itself .. so there was no curiosity build either whereas for BALH noone knew how Ram and Piya will meet and that helped in trp rise I guess ...

In short I feel viewers of PV dont really want to see these actor promotions in tv serial .. it never works ..instead promos should b made on main storyline ...
