@Angel: I think this is the longest take of yours I've read so far...and what a take!!! Superb. Your insight on Yash is more interesting because it is coming from a male perspective. Yup, when pushed into a corner, a man generally retaliates...shedding reason momentarily. Yash was no different. As long as she was Arpita bahu to the family, nayi ma to his daughters, and a co-inmate of his room it was fine...she was into relationship with everyone else other than him, and he was fine just coexisting with her. But, like you said, the moment he was pushed into defining this relationship wherein Arpita's existence would be compromised if he so much so acknowledges Aarti's...he flipped. It again came down to "either...or"...that's how he interpreted bua's rant, whereas it needn't have been. If he had just stopped to think, he would have realized that Aarti never staked that claim...for her it was always Arpita and Aarti and not either Arpita or Aarti. When he calms down, he'll realize that Aarti always held her own...and he always responded to her one to one. The very fact that he is not indifferent to her is proof enough...the fact that he always craved for her approval is proof enough...and the fact that he can't ignore her and can't take his eyes off her even when she is across the road is proof enough...that the lady is already gotten under his skin!!!

PV FB page too is accusing Yash which I feel is more of an indication that soon we will see Yash repent for his actions πŸ˜›πŸ˜†

Yash signs on the divorce papers. Do you think he should have atleast given a thought to Aarti and Ansh before signing the divorce papers?

Don't mean to be rude, but those FB questions are always almost rhetorical. πŸ˜†

Some responses:

@angake: I remembered because it perfectly encapsulated Aarti's and Yash's predispositions.😊

Secondly, about values...I find it so hard that in the face of your own brother's divorce and his happiness, you'd want to follow your mum's diktat. And further, you are not supporting this entire decision and you are vested in this relationship more than others.

CV's do what they will and I say what I will. πŸ˜› Fair play!

@Indu : @angake's favorite line of your take is mine too.. Aarti had just come off saying the Yash was like God to her and to be rejected by God? Horrible!

Your take was poetic and profound, just as mine was flippant and facetious. 😊 In other words, business as usual.

@mamita: Loved your 10-points. I will look forward to your employing the dumb dodo description mercilessly if they don't come through.

@Charishma: I liked how you dwelled on Yash's latent feelings for Aarti but sub-consciously being verbalized in the name of kids. It is for the same reason that he reacts in vehemence when Bua pricks him with the Arpita's-place-in-his-heart taunt. I couldn't help recall the scene when even after he realizes that it is Aarti, not Arpita is in his arms, he doesn't want to let go . But he gets all huffy-puffy when Aarti questions him.

Coming to think of it Yash will hv a real challenge in hand to convince all parties once he comes to know the truth ...πŸ€”..
1)How will Yash convince Dubeys that Aarti-Ansh will get the same respect again in Scindia mansion ??πŸ€”
2)How will Yash convince Aarti that his family will happily accept her again with full respect since I m sure Aarti will not go with Yash unless his family is ready to accept her and she will also not want Yash to leave his house for her πŸ€”
3)How will Yash convince his own parents and make them realise that they were extremely wrong in the way they lied to him and humiliated Aarti ?? ...I dont think Yash simply leaving house is a solution because then Aarti will think she is homebreaker and will not accept to go with Yash ...isn't it πŸ€”

@C: Rude? I refer to them (so far in private) as the "Duh" questions...πŸ˜†

If they phrased them better and had some contest going (say, in 100 words or less), then I might even consider answering them...Anyone listening?

@Jyo: There's no question of their leaving home...Both Yash and Aarti are not radically minded but like to function within the system. They both respect their elders irrespective of their behavior toward them...at the same time both tend to do what is right even though the act might go against their elders' wishes. To put it simply, their family ethics are similar. Therefore, contextually, those questions that you pose are very important, and if the CVs brush them under the rug and carry on as if nothing grievous had happened, I, as an audience, will feel cheated.

@Red: Thanks pal. Yeah, so right...so what's new?πŸ˜‰ I loved your dark hint at the "hair" ...The way they are equating hair with tending to little girls is not funny but downright silly now (no wonder Aarti never got time to tie her own hair...not that I minded...I love her flowing hairπŸ˜›):

@Angel: That was fabulous! πŸ‘ As I was reading what you wrote I felt everything about Yash's behaviour fall into place neatly and without a single doubt left. He was being forced to name a relationship that he had yet to acknowledge and what's more, the name itself was the one he had vowed never to give to any relationship other than his with Arpita. And it is harsh but true that this is probably what he feels about the relationship, though he would have not expressed it in any other context. He married for his parents, for his brother, for his kids, and like you said, to an extent for Aarti herself. Now that in his view, none of these parties seem to want this relationship any more or are indifferent how can he justify keeping it without admitting that HE wants it? And this is something he cannot do without feeling like he is betraying Arpita.

But he is bothered by why Aarti does not want him and like you guys have mentioned, her approval is very important to him. Not only the bowling alley, but the injection, the toy for Ansh, and the whole thing about him being a perv. He was so uncomfortable with her thinking ill of him. Call me crazy, but I think the OS Mansi was onto something. I think that under the brittle crust of grief over his loss of Arpita...maybe Yash is a flirt! Look at the way he was with Arpi on what looked like their first meeting itself, with all that swagger and shayari. He also so comfortable with touch, as we have never seen it be an issue with Aarti unless they are in an exceedingly awkward position, and that is probably the biggest indicator to me...

Think about it. Deep down, Yash is a flirt. πŸ˜‰

@Samana :Yesterday the kind of look Yash gives to Aarti from car when he sees both Aarti-Ansh enjoying the candy was the typical jealous look of a flirt only πŸ˜‰πŸ˜†πŸ˜›..Yash's actions suggest he is a very possessive kind of a guy ... the way he looks at Aarti-Ansh , its more of a possessive look as if his eyes r saying how dare they can enjoy the candy without me πŸ˜‰πŸ˜†... Also we know his action and reaction on suhaagraat with condoms and nightdress ...so yeah flirt and possessiveness πŸ˜›πŸ˜†πŸ˜†
@Indu :Even I will feel cheated as a viewer if I dont get to see the details of how Yash sorts out this whole issue and makes sure Aarti-Ansh r accepted in the house with full respect and honour ...I m not expecting Gayatri or Bua so soon to accept Aarti whole heartedly but at least I want to see a certain mutual respect coming from Gayatri and Bua towards Aarti-Ansh even if it means for the sake of Yash πŸ€”,...
What will b interesting to see is how Yash convinces his father and makes him realise that he did a mistake by asking Aarti-Ansh to leave ...Daddy Scindia is a tough nut to crack...so the Yash-Daddy Scindia confrontation on this matter will b interesting to see πŸ€”
