Aaah, this is SO pretty, Maham!
Such a beautiful VM showing Yash and Aarti's journey so far along with the small changes in their relationship. You've outdone yourself again!
Things I love:
- The suhaag raat scenes as "bookends" for the rest of the VM - nice, nice!
- All those unwelcome/unfortunate encounters for either Yash, Aarti, or both (contributing to the "neeech banda" impression 😆)
- 0:33: "Khaalipan ko jo bhare..." - First off, this marked the beginning of a series of spectacularly edited scenes; throughout this entire VM, I LOVE the way you've set the scenes to the music so that Gurmeet-Kratika's expressions/movements match the music or beats precisely many, many times! Aarti lets out a sob right on the beat of "khaalipan" and Yash looks down at her ("Kuch toh tha") and looks up again ("darmiyaan") almost as if something has dawned on him at that moment.
- 0:46: This part...Just beautiful! Yash and his rishta with Ansh...and Aarti, as well...Aarti's rishta with Yash, who has become Ansh's father through his actions - "naatayein tod doon, ya phir yoon chhod doon" with Aarti pacing anxiously is heartbreakingly perfect because of the situation she's in right now! She doesn't want to leave him after all that has happened, but it really doesn't seem like she has a choice.
- "Benaam rishta woh...bechain karta jo..." - This is exactly what this is! Something that can't be given a name. The dargah moment shows us how their relationship is divinely ordained, but there's no way that they could know that...And the "bechaini" that Yash and Aarti have been experiencing ever since their first official encounter until these recent moments (complete with Yash's sleepless nights due to Aarti) is also quite apt, I think!
- 1:17 - "Ho na sake jo bayaan...darmiyaan" - Ironically beautiful, isn't it, that Yash calls out to Aarti after all this time when she's not there to hear it, while he never did so in such a manner (or needed to do so) while she was there?
- 2:17: "chahoon toh ho na paaye yaadon se teri faasla" - True, true, true! And the best thing is, now that this has started, those memories of rejection may begin to slowly fade...
- The perfection of timing of the gunshot that hits Yash took me by surprise. What an impact! 2:55ish is even more amazing with Aarti's shocked expressions matching the music note for note! I absolutely loved the look on Kratika's face as Aarti reacted to seeing that blood on her hand! Brilliant detail.
- 3:04: Timing again! Aarti looks up...Yash looks up...So CUTE. And then again...3:15 to 3:19: Yash looks up...Aarti looks up...they hold their gaze for a long moment. Aaah, SO PERFECT.
- The last stanza is strangely prophetic to me...Even though Yash and Aarti are nowhere near being in a situation where they'll be remembering each other and being tortured by each others' thoughts in a romantic sense, it may be happening in the capacity of them remembering each other since they are husband and wife and they did go through with this marriage for a reason and were just beginning to bond when external forces are tearing them apart. Phrases I thought were oddly apt: "raastein woh saare hai gum, ab dhoondoon kaise manzilein," "raatein hai jaise maatam," "roothi hai saari mehfilein" along with the obvious lines. As far as this week's episodes go, I feel like "ban jaaye aansoon hi zubaan" will be perfect for Aarti. It already was perfect for her state of mind after Yash got shot (Oh man, that fits perfectly!!!) and in the hospital (Gah, Kratika's expressions. Another perfect match!)
- Finally, if I were to point out every single second that I loved because of the way the music matched the scenes, there would be an even longer list than this! During every chorus (and other places of course) either the beats, chords, or background matched so well with Gurmeet/Kratika's expressions or gestures - whether he looked up or down, or moved, whether she looked up or down, or moved...Even the barely perceptible movements were captured so wonderfully! 👏
I'm finished now! 😳 Spectacular job, Maham! Love it!
