Was it Really that Bad?

I've read a lot of comments about how horrible Aarti is, and how bratty Ansh is, and how horrible the last episode was.

Strange. I loved this episode. I liked parts about it that others claim to hate 👏

Here's why: ⭐️
1. We saw Pari reach out to Aarti. No matter how much Gayatri tries to pit one against the other, these two will not stand for it.

2. Aarti talked to Ansh like he were a 'grown up', and Ansh responded in like. This says a lot about their dynamic, and about how grown up Ansh actually is. He's just 4, but he steps in to defend his mother when she is getting yelled at for making him breakfast.

Instead of approaching Ansh as if he were a spoiled little brat, approach him as if he were an equal. Why do people act out? Because they want attention. He craves his mother's attention, and she in turn craves his. All they have is each other. It will take time, and effort on Yash and Payal-Palak's parts to ensure them that they can rely on, and get what they need, from them.

3. I saw Yash get mad with the bathroom incident, and in the preview. This might mean that all is not as well as it seems in Yash-dom. And that is great. Finally the man has a flaw. He's OCD, go figure lol

Yes, every character has flaws. Aarti's not a disciplinarian, and honestly, with her background (ie: parent-less existence), and with Prashant leaving, I don't expect her to be. Serious abandonment issues. ArYa are lax in parenting department. Which is fine. This show isn't made to showcase what it means to be a great parent. It about a 'mine and yours' family, and what would be the point of bringing together a family who are getting along just fine without each other?? ArYa will become a team. 👏⭐️ , and they will share this job😳

😃😃
PS: I've seen some people throw around theories about Yash and Arpita relationship, and I think I've got it. 😃 Arpita's reason for death is unknown, but I think maybe she had some sort of fatal condition. I keep thinking that Yash was not always as attentive as it seemed in the few clips shown so far.
The pictures that flood his room, are a little much. It made me think, Is he afraid he will forget? Had he forgotten for a while (ie: taken her for granted) when they were married?
I'm not convinced that Yash is struggling to stay in love with Arpita, because of love. I'm half convinced its guilt that is influencing him.

Love this show. Yash struggling to hold on. Aarti unable to let go. Its a great contrast.

To people out there bashing Ansh character out here in the forum, I've got one thing to say to them. Do you think Ansh is there to just be cute and dramaless? His job is to create drama and draw out his 'naye papa' out of his stupor and turn the Scindia parivar on its head and also play cupid and have a growth chart as any other character on the show. The promo's of PV included him in its USP , therefore Ansh's role is as good as a protagonist.

Also I'd like to add that I'm watching this show as a general viewer!

And I agree with your viewpoints.

Charishma, wonderful post.

I too am one of the very few who loved today's episode. Aarti is not perfect and she doesn't have to be.

I loved how you said that Aarti is not a disciplinarian. Exactly, my point. She is a nurturer. In fact didn't one of the relatives mention pretty much the same thing to Gayatri right after the wedding? And like you mentioned this is where her own past comes into play. All the very important people abandoned her. The Dubeys in my opinion are wonderful people but may not have been the perfect parents considering how Prashant turned out. And I think these may be the reasons why Aarti has a misconception that loving your child means overindulging the kid.

Aarti does need to realize that she is not doing Ansh any favors by overindulging him. But I am okay with the way Aarti is portrayed. I don't expect her to be perfect but I do want her to realize and learn from any mistakes she might make.

Also, parenting is really a shared responsibility. So, if she is a little indulgent with her children and she wants to be the nurturer in the family then I would say go for it as long as Yash balances her out and steps up by providing the much needed disciplining not just with Ansh but also with Payal and Palak.

Parenting is about how both parents can balance out each other to raise their children to be well adjusted and decent human beings. And that is why I love that the CVs are showing that both Yash and Aarti may not be perfect parents on their own but they have the potential to become wonderful parents when they work together just like how they did in the mall. The kids were fighting, but eventually Yash and Aarti worked together and they had a good time at the bowling alley with 3 very calm kids. Ah! What a perfect family moment that was. 😳

Hey ! I love your post .. you don't even know how much ! 😆I love that you were able to find that 'other side of the coin' on all the things people were finding faults in. And it just goes to show how complex these situations are that people are having such extreme and such a variety of reactions don't you think =) ?
I have to agree with all you said.. especially about Aarti/Ansh relationship. Today in my take I mentioned how I feel these two have a friend-friend relationship, rather than a parent-child. It goes to show how much they've spent time with each other, gotten to know each other, and how much they've bonded the past 4 years or so. Definitely Aarti has abandonment issues and that fear sort of developed her to have an obsession of her own, to keep her son by her side, to be his best friend, to never let him down, and, well, to never LEAVE his side like she's been left before! I can see why she's always worried and attentive about him ... people may find that weird/annoying and feel she should leave Ansh to the Sindhiya's because there's enough people to take care of him but sometimes that's not the case. The parent would feel most comfortable with their child, and I feel Ansh is Aarti's support system.
Coming to Yash, definitely he has OCD. Things just have to be in order for him and I'm foreshadowing some troubles for Aarti in that case. It seems she's ok with a little disorder if it means it'll be organized later on but Yash is a very routined man and his little routine was disturbed today which rattled him pretty badly! And he isn't a perfect father either because neither are his girls. They've been trained to behave in front of others but when they're alone its a totally different picture isn't it? Even when Payal sticks her tongue out at Aarti .. that's not behaviour you should condone but they do it meaning Yash has flaws in his parenting skills too.
Fact of the matter is that they're all flawed in some way and this shows reality! We're not perfect .. neither is it the easiest task to parent kids when you've been through so much in life. What I look forward to is AarYa bonding as friends so that they can take care of their children more properly and as a team. Because Palak/Payal need Aarti as much as Ansh needs Yash.

i completely love your post... i have been loving the past two episodes a lot because of how realistic the characters are... the characters are flawed and there's going to be a lot of growth in future episodes... i think that'll be quite exciting to watch... you need drama for a show to run... everything cannot be all goody good... i'm glad the drama in this show is realistic and not something that makes one question their sanity...
