Misunderstanding is that Yash's family thinks Aarti to be a widow,while she is in fact ,a divorcee. Yash's parents were ready to bring a Daughter in Law who is widowed,but not one who is divorced. So Aarti's MIL and FIL let them believe that Aarti is a widow. Even Aarti is not aware of this lie,and thus Aarti's MIL wants to tell this to her before marriage takes place.
