my only problem with the show is that they havn't shown much of yash's side of the story... they need to strike a balance between aarti and yash in the episodes... but it's just been a little more than two weeks... every show needs a little time to pick up... and punar vivaah's got everything going for it from the story to the actors to the characters and execution...

Have some patience, in just TWO week what more and how much can we judge any characters? 😕

And the show is mainly on Aarti and Yash, which AarYa story has not even started yet! The CRUX of the show is a STORY between these TWO! Social factors are there but they are not the CENTER of the attraction!

Till date, I liked this show and if you have seen that AarYa scene where they both were sitting on stairs near river or something, it was THE MOST BEAUTIFUL Transition I have seen! The director proved its capability with that scene and by far, I liked everyone's performance too minus that servant! 😆

The main theme of the story has not even started yet, so I can't particularly judge it in Black and White coz other factors measures !

And personally, I like this show and just for PV I left another show with same time slot and I live in India so my TRP contribution is for PV only! 😆

In ANY DAMN show you will find this illogical things but then its on you, if you really don't wanna watch it then you really won't! Be it small illogical things or be it great story! Excuses are always there! And I personally believe that show comes out in existence with many things and loads and loads of Hard work! So I only like to appreciate the GOOD things rather pointing out the BAD points! But that is entirely my nature, my POV and my thinking! I don't like to point out anyone's or any SHOW's weaknesses! That is not me. 😳

I am giving this show a chance coz only two weeks has passed, there's lot more to come yet! And honestly, I am waiting for AarYa story only! 😳 Plus, I am fan of Mature, Subtle and Unconventional Romance, for me that is the USP and not family problems and main thing, I watch ANY DAMN show only and only coz of HOT and SEXY guy and GC is my guy, he is my man so I am gonna watch as far as GC is there or until Yash die one day .. ! 😆

That was completely my POV, I hope I have not offended anyone! 😊

very well said...every show needs time...only two weeks & people are talking about closing!!!!!!!!!!...i personally like PV...i have no comlaints against it...& about those points...ok...tell me about a show which is completely free of unrealistic things, melodrama!!!...its a daily soap...so, some drama elements are needed...& about aarti's crying...i can give a list of shows where heroines shed buckets of tears everyday...!!!!!!!!!
moreover, i think 2.1 is still a good TRP for a show which is only two weeks old..

@judyp...have to disagree with u totally!
the show has just started its third week...and has trps above 2!
and u cannot really generalize.my mom watches zee tv shows...and she waits for 10:30 eagerly to watch Punar Vivah...and i am sure there r many more...every person's choice varies.
as far as trps r concerned, the real story hasn't even started...it will start once the Punar Vivah happens! and i know hit shows .in fact no1 shows where male leads entered after the show was about a month old...yes we need more of Yash...but we will get more of him through aarti's eyes and that will happen after aarti gets married to him...i agree that second week has been slow, inspite of that, i think Punar Vivah is one of the best directed shows i hv seen in recent times, sometimes certain scenes r magical...yes there r flaws...the dragging of certain scenes, aarti's continuous tears, etc...but pls tell me one show where these things do not happen at some point of time?...
dips in trps might happen in the first few weeks, no show stabilizes before a month...i can at least say for sure that Punar Vivah is a better show than most of the ongoing shows rt now.no offense to anyone...

i would agree that there is lot to be desired with characterization, pace etc. but I think the show at its heart is about two people resisting love and happiness who are thrown together...two people who will be surprised by what they find in themselves and in each other.

to die-hard romantics, that is irresistible. Moreover the show also has to wonderful leads...not to mention the three cutie-patooties

I for one am sold!

Thank you all for your comments!!! Oh please - I want the show to continue too... there is no way a show with such stars will even go close to closing for a very long time... I was just sharing my views on how the story has been developed so far...

I loved Arathi when she was Jhansi - amazing actress. but to portray weakness, vulnerability... the awkwardness and struggle can be seen...

Let me reiterate that what I want to see... I didn't want the leads getting married so soon... each of their characters should have been developed... should have been given more depth... Yash - we should have seen a lot of him with his daughters, his missing his wife, his relationship with his daughters and the love they share... without Arathi's tears hogging the limelight and she is supposed to be a strong woman, has been alone for 6 years... are you saying she is a weakling till now????????

This is where my POV to the CV's - build more before heading towards the marriage... this is my POV!!!!

Things that have not worked for me and feel the CV's should have built a stronger foundation: I will start with the most recent.

1. Aarthi's duppata gets stuck in a locked door (yash has special cars i suppose) , once stuck, the first reaction for any human being is to look back and pull it out, but here she stands staring ahead... waiting for her prince charming to first observe that something got stuck, then get off his seat and open the door and let the duppata go and during this whole time Arathi does not even look back... come on... bad scene!!!!

2. Arathi's relationship with Ansh is over done and Yash and his daughters relationship is downplayed so completely.

3. She has tied her duppata and she falls when running... its not like she broke a leg, she could have got up and still run, but she stayed stuck on the ground... looking helpless and that characterization was weakly done... i have frnds who are single mothers too and they fall, but get up and ensure that the child finishes!!!

4. She is a single mother, but she stutters when the TT asks her for a ticket... come on... speak up lady... u have not committed a crime...u just walked into a AC class... not anything else.

5. A lady who is a guest at a wedding screams at Arathi for not telling her she is a divorcee...come on .. the slinging match about thalak shudha and marriage and the crap lecture... badly done...

Arathi who has played a very strong character earlier as Jhansi Ki Rani is making an admirable effort to portray a weak and vulnerable character but so far not succeeding very well for me. Yes, she is still n love with that no gooder ex husband of hers... and I am sure there are insecurities and a certain amount of hesitation in moving forward, but her portrayal is not coming across...naturally. I hope as a stronger woman she will fall in very well...have to wait and watch!!!

GC - Oh yeah.. I love the man too... but in this serial so far.. other than the awesomely sad eyes, we have seen nothing to like so far!!! He looks Hot... so all his fans forgive me... but as the character Yash... he still has to grow on me...

The foundation that the CV's have laid - very weak... they could have spent a few weeks on each of their lives individually and without the public humiliation and challenge to get Arathi married, or the need to create unnecessary scenes of her failure more than his inability to handle the children without the other spouse would have been wonderful!!!

I would have liked a lot more depth built in before rushing into this marriage so when the marriage actually happens, we would have been part of the journey that made them say yes to the marriage!!! There has been no depth and I feel i have joined the party late... and missing too much that happened earlier and maybe there will be many flashbacks to help understand ...but there had to be more of a foundation than the current reasons for which Arathi said yes ... or Yash for that matter!!!😭

Coz if Arpita had passed away 2 or 3 years agao, are we saying during this time, bhabhi and ma didnt take of the cutie pie daughters, that suddenly today over a hair oiling incident a issue is made...dint work for me at all...

Sorry for such a long rant... but had to say it... I love both of them individually but i am not sure the sparks will fly... Wait and Watch

Your thots?

Hats Off👏, Hey u stole my words yaar. Do You know Mind Reading, you just mentioned what ever i was thinking but couldn't penned down due to lack of time...Anyways it was a great observation & bad creation by the CVs. try to use ur brains, it's a very common theory & why can't they understand. This show has kicked off with lot of expectation but has got too many loop holes if the makers try to correct them then it's good enough if not they have already seen the result in a way of down fall of the TRPs. Don't try to test us, we are more smarter than you guyz...😉

Thank you !! I began to watch it too with a lot of expectation since we have seen both the leads in the earlier roles and how good they were... but there are too many cliched approaches to the show currently ... we have to wait and see ... if our optimism will be met or we will be disappointed!!!
