Zee TV has invested a lot of PV. They had and obviously still have a lot of hopes riding on it, I mean when you have such a renown PH with an extremely popular and talented leads, you tend to have ridiculously high expectations from the show. It was obvious in the way they promoted the show so heavily, even using their other shows to promote it, and I am really glad that it is starting to pay off right from the start. The 2.6 TRP is the highest Zee has seen for a fiction show in it's debut week for years, and with the mind blowing episodes we had last week, I really hope that the numbers just continue to rise from here and just like the Mittal's other show, DABH, PV also reaches first position very very soon!
One of the main reasons I am so invested in TRPs, is because as long as a show keeps bringing in high numbers, the channel doesn't interfere with the story of the show and let the PH take their own route. The PH has all the control for a high ranking show, but as soon as the TRPs drop, the channel starts demanding scripts to be changed, and unnecessary twists and drama to be added so as to attract more viewers, and most of the time that completely ruins the essence of the show. I want the Mittals to take their own route with this, tell this story the way they originally envisioned it, and so far it's been a wonderful start!
