Thanks for this info jyo as I had seen that episode in parts so I had no idea about that but still the way that woman treated her was disgusting she approached her in the first place & just because she is a divorcee she has to to face such things

without even knowing the whole thing she made remarks on her character & other things I am sure later on when arti's e husband will return her new MIL will ask her to giv away her son to her ex husband but I hope it remains a progressive show

@Priya:Yeah thats the whole problem ...without knowing the real reason ,one will always blindly blame the girl for the divorce ..mayb in the serial its a bit over-exaggerated but in reality also ,indirectly the taunts will b made on the girl only

I am not worried. I think GC's work is good enough that these publicity stunts won't affect his success one way or another. It all really depends on the story and the writing now.

I was thinking, GC's last two leading ladies both have names where they have an 'a' where it is more common to have an 'i'. Like for DD, she is Drashti where Drishti is a more common name and now his co-star is Kratika, where Kritika is a much more common name.

Just a weird co-incidence that popped into my head. 😛

@Jyo: Yeah I agree that there is a lot of hypocrisy in India still where divorce is concerned. I think it has a lot to do with the expectation for girls to be virgins when they get married, while that particular rule is much less strict for men. 🤔 So if you are divorced it complicates that whole issue of "pavitrata"...*goes off into a day dream triggered by the word pavitrata*😍 ...ANYWAY. 😆 Yeah so from that aspect I think divorce is complicated for a woman because even if they were not at fault where the divorce was concerned, they are still already "damaged goods" from their first marriage. 🤬 It is changing slowly in urban contexts, but too slowly in my opinion.

Hello everyone...nice thread & nice discussion...haven't seen the episode yet..but seems it was godd...

Problem in India is that women are treated as commodities they are considered as machines that are used to give birth tho their so called waris & even there if its a girl then also a woman is blamed & even if a couple has no kids a women is blamed people actually think tat women are not humans people epect way too much from them

Actually samana the thing is that first they should wait for GC 's entry & atleast wait for a week before doing such a segment een I have full faith in GC's talent but I want his work to speak more as today from what I have heard is that SBB was emphacising more upon maan & even the calls he recieved asked him about geet so if the channel would hae waited for atleast a week then i think things might have been a bit different
