What a dhamakedaar episode!! 👏 Really CVs, now that you're finishing up the series you give us episodes like this?!
Eijaz was brilliant yet again. His actions and reactions throughout were spot on! This episode was mostly about him and his realization. I'm glad we got to see him taking the right approach by visiting his lawyer first and then requesting the jail warden for permission to meet his wife. The escape sequence was much better shot and executed than we see in most serials. Having said that, I don't know how they could have escaped so fast and why the police wasn't even bothering to chase after them. But let's not bother ourselves too much with such 'details'.
It didn't take much to convince Vikrant because his heart was already looking for an excuse to absolve Sarita of all blame. More than her confession of love for her husband, it was her purity and honesty that shone through and put Vikrant in fifth gear! He didn't seem surprised either at the revelation that Vandana told Raj about their Mumbai trip; he realized that she hadn't turned over a new leaf after all where Sarita was concerned. Eijaz's facial expressions while watching the CD were brilliant! I loved the little detail of him rewinding the video just to watch the final bit again where she clearly left the ball in his court and asked him to make the next move. It was as if he wanted to reassure himself that his nightmare was over, that this was the real ray of hope that he'd been so desperate to see shine, and then it was crystal clear to him what he had to do.
Thank you Vikrant for telling off Vandana! I am really hoping she is the killer so that he can put her away for life. I have a feeling Rohan knows his mother is the culprit but chooses to keep quiet. I don't expect there to be much logic in terms of how Vikrant gets away with breaking the law in such a big way. I think coming back home was actually a smart idea - as they say, it's better to hide in plain sight because that is the last place the police would look for them. I wonder if Vandana or Rohan would tip the police off, though I wouldn't be surprised if they remain quiet out of fear or selfishness. The longer the police believe that Vikrant and Sarita are criminals on the run, the longer Vandana and/or the killer can remain in the shadows.
For me, some of the best dialogs were during the scene between Raj, Divya, and Sarita in jail. This scene pretty much summed up Sarita's character and showed us what she is made of. Her devotion, loyalty, and never-say-die attitude is what makes her who she is. I especially loved when she stopped Raj from saying anything negative about Vikrant and reminded him how she had stood by him in their shell of a relationship for 10 years. This is who Sarita is, and despite her excessive generosity, I couldn't help but fall in love with her character all over again. What an angel! I am glad she spoke out and put Raj in his place, because she never blamed him for her unhappiness even though he deserved it. 👏 I also found it interesting how Divya understood Sarita's reasoning straight away, whereas Raj, who had lived with her for 10 years, didn't. This again reinforced my belief that Raj and Sarita were never meant to be together.
Another beautiful shot was when Vikrant walked into the house - I loved how he carried her into the house as if they were newly wed all over again, because this is the true beginning of their PV. I loved how this was done as one complete uninterrupted sweeping shot - he literally swept his wife off her feet (and set her down oh so gently). I assume this was shot in one take! (This is good news for me personally, because it indicates that Eijaz has recovered well from his shoulder injury).
The pre-cap had me laughing because Vikrant didn't seem to want to waste a single moment in getting intimate with Sarita. He takes the initiative, as we would expect him to, but this catches Sarita off-guard. I don't think there will be anything to it. Either they will be interrupted or they will decide to put it off due to her injuries. I don't think Sarita is ready for that level of intimacy, and they both need time to process what has happened and understand where things are before proceeding. Although one might argue that the thrill of living dangerously could be an inhibition-losing factor for them.
Let's see how this plays out - CVs please give viewers some much-awaited romance in the unusual style that we have come to love and expect of the PV makers.
PS I hope Srishty recovers from her injury soon! 😃
