ok..first, sorry about dealy.
second..this is the first chapter i wrote for this Ff..this is the chapter around which i based my story..i hope it comes out as i intended..plz plz.. do comment coz this is the heart of my story..here goes.



Choices(part9)


"Rajkumari Sanyogita!" vaishali was so relieved to see her friend , she started yelling from afar as she ran towards the said princess.


Prithvi froze. The world had just stopped and no noise filtered into his ears. If lighting would have struck him at that moment, he wouldn't have felt a thing.




Sanyogita?!!



His Sanyogita?!


Not Nandini but Sanyogita!



Prithvi sat some way away from the main camp, by the side of the lake.

He didn't know whether to laugh with joy or feel upset becoze he hadn't known.



She had changed so much, yet not at all.

This was wat had been bothering him from the start.



She had been right in front of him. His instincts and his heart had been trying to get him to see that. But he hadn't.

The feelings of dj vu, the bursts of tingling he felt at her touch. The worry he felt for her. The way her tears effected him. The way her laughter made him feel all was right with the world.



Prithvi closed his eyes as a mirthless smile crossed his face.
How could he not have known.



He had spent the past two days in her company, all alone. They had fought and he had even called her spoilt.


She was still his wildcat.

A wild cat with claws, apparently, as he remembered her archery demonstration.
Never in his wildest dreams would he have thought Sanyogita would learn archery. And climb trees and dress up as a boy..



His face colored slightly as he remembered her attire form the morning.



The sleeveless short jacket and loose pants hadn't really been able to hide the fact that she was girl, so she had used a big shawl to cover herself with.
She was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, even dressed that way.


She was his Sanyogita.


His incredibly brave, incredibly nave, incredibly sweet , wild cat.



As his mind lingered on her boyish attire, his thoughts suddenly jumped to the fact that she didn't know who he was.
As soon as he thought that another thought came to him.



He had "told' her all about his previous yatra.
Ha had told her all about nandini.
She must have figured it out.



She had known and she never let him realize that. He frowned as he recalled the day's events. Never once had he detected any sign of recognition from her. Her expressions had been neutral to the most extent.



Prithvi's eyes snapped open and his frown intensified.

She had known his identity but kept her's secret.



The joy and elation he had been feeling faded away to give way to confusion and anger.



Only Sanyogita could push him to such extremes.
She still hated him.


But if she did, then why had she spoken to him the way she had. The Sanyogita he knew wasn't capable of emotional games. That just wasn't her.
Among the many things he loved about her was her ability to be honest and open about her feelings. If she hated something, it was for the world to see. If she loved something , it was for the world to see.


Prithvi's frown turned into a bitter smile.

She had thanked him. She had laughed and smiled at him. Either she was no longer the same girl he knew or this was something else.



He couldn't take it anymore. He had to talk to her.

He had to know.

Sanyogita sat some distance from the main camp.
She was close to the lake and was secluded enough for no one to bother her.




She looked up at the half moon with a smile.


She would never have thought, never have hoped a few weeks ago, that her life would take such a turn..



She would meet her Prithvi again. She would get a chance to spend some time with him.

It was like the heavens had granted her the one thing she had been too afraid to ask for.



She had yet to tell vaishali. But she knew her friend would insist on clearing all misunderstandings, and this she couldn't allow to happen. Prithvi couldn't know about her. He mustn't know about her.



She closed her eyes and sent a little prayer heavenwards.
"thank you for this gift. Now please help me walk away."


She had to leave. It was time to go bac to kanauj.


She got up and turned ,only to notice him standing a few steps from her. She had no idea how long he had been there..



S: karan..i didn't see u there..



She smiled and tried to calm her erratic heartbeat.




Prithvi moved forward, anger surging at her use of the name karan.



P: not karan..nandini… not karan…. Or is my real name so hard for u to remember.. Sanyogita.




She felt her heart plummet. He knew.
The moment she had avoided for so long, loomed on the horizon.




P: you knew about me. I told u all about the yatra and all about my nandini. or was it before that.. did you over hear vaidji and me?is that why u fainted?

U heard me go on and on about the yatra, about you, but u never once let me know who u really were.

Why Sanyogita? Why?!!
Did your hatred for me relish my pain? Did you think it was some kind of twisted revenge, making me relive those moments with you sitting there as a detached audience? Is that it?!



Prithvi's voice thickened with emotions. His bottled up feelings of anger and pain coming to the surface like a barely contained volcanic eruption.




Sanyogita almost cried out at his accusations. Quickly taking a step towards him, she decided to break her silence. She couldn't bear the pain his voice held or the hurt his eyes showed., She felt her heart break for him.




S: No!! No Prithvi!. It wasn't revenge. It wasn't hate. Prithvi , it was love. I loved you too much to tell you the truth. I didn't want to spend even one precious second I had with you discussing our true identities.

Ididn't want you to know who I was because I wanted to never have to face the moment of choice.

I wanted to delay,if possible avoid the moment of choice.

I prayed you would never know the truth. I wish you hadn't found out. I wish you hadn't come here tonight.




Tears started to stream down her cheeks.


S: oh Prithvi!! I cant even begin to say how sorry I am. For not believing you. For never giving you a chance. For not listening to you, for not listening to my own heart. If I could, I would go back in time and change it.. but, I cant.

All I can do is ask you to forgive me. Forgive your Sanyogita for being a foolish child. For not having faith.

If u find that you cant forgive me, I will understand. If I were in your place, I wouldn't forgive me either. Just know that I have always loved you. Even when I said otherwise, I truly loved you.

I don't deserve your forgiveness much less your love. I still ask for your forgiveness because u deserve that. I wouldn't blame you for hating me.




Sanyogita fell to her knees as she finished. Her insides in a turmoil, her heart clenched in fear of his verdict, her face wet with tears. Yet at the same moment she felt a sense of right.



Prithivi knelt in front of her, gently cupping her face in his hands.



P: hate you?! Sanyogita, I can only hate you when I hate the sun ,the moon, the air.

I can hate myself but I can never hate you.. there is no question of whether or not I will forgive you.

My love for you has never been up for debate. It is a fact as solid as the ground I walk on. As vital as the air I breath.




At his words, Sanyogita's distress increased. She was going to break his heart…again. How could she keep doing this to him.



Seeing her distress, Prithvi misunderstood.

Wiping away her tears he softly said.



P: sometimes you must wish you had never met me



Sanyogita looked into his eyes, then mirroring his stance, placed her hands on either side of his face.



S: Not a day goes by when I don't remember you Prithvi. Not a day goes by when I don't thank the heavens for having met you. I love you Prithvi.

I will always love you, till my last breath. There was nothing in my life before you and there will b nothing in my life after you

Sanyogita came to life after she met Prithviraj Chauhan and only death will separate my heart from yours. You made me what I am. I changed when I met you. And thanks to you, I became a better person.

I'm no longer the girl you knew. I'm not selfish anymore. I had accused you of betraying our love once. I called you a traitor. Today, I too will become a traitor.




Prithvi's heart had soared at her words, but her last words scared him like never before. He got a feeling of impending doom.




S: you had to make a choice once. You chose duty over love. At that time, I didn't understand. I do now. You made the right choice. You are the right choice.

I prayed you would never know about me because I knew this moment would come. The moment of my choice. When I would have to choose between my duty and my love.

I wont lie to you. I want to be selfish. I want to hide in your arms and forget all my fears. I want to rest my head on your chest and let you worry about keeping our love safe.

But I want do that. I cannot become a catalyst to my father's vengeance towards you. I cant stand to have you suffer any more on my account.
S: don't come after me Prithvi. Please don't..i ….cant….wont….



She was unable to go on. Unable to see the heartbreak in his eyes. She got up and ran from there , not looking back for fear of turning to stone.

Ohmigosh! I am speechless! In a good way of course. 😃 I actually felt their pain, hope and love reaching out to me. 👏
Wonderful dialogues and scenes. Absolutely LOVED this part...it gets better and better with each part. 👏

I hope PRC convinces her that JC's vengeance doesn't bother him. 😕

In the last part... i liked the way Arjun and Chand were teasing Pundir.....😆 and Beautiful moments between Pri-Sanyo😳 while returning back. I can imagine some diff faces of Pri-Sanyo while reading ur story. (Anas toh bilkul hi nahi, par RT bhi nahi.....) ur Pri- Sanyo are out-standing 👏.

She was deeply in Love with Pri... that she cannot choose to leave apart from him, now that he had forgiven her. And apart from that her father's brutal act..... helped her make her choice so eaisily.

But it is difficult to mke choice..... seriously. ok..... here I dunno which is my fav sentence.... but i ll make this one - I wont lie to you. I want to be selfish. I want to hide in your arms and forget all my fears. I want to rest my head on your chest and let you worry about keeping our love safe. 🤗
