Saagar upset over not getting Best Actor
Sharad Malhotra aka Saagar (Banno Main Teri Dulhann) was supremely confident that he would win the Best Actor Award (popular category) for Dulhann at the Indian Telly Awards. So he and even his Dulhann co-stars were shocked when Rajat Tokas' was declared the winner in the category.
Expressing his views, Sharad tells us, "Right now I'm fine but during the award ceremony I was stunned when my name was not announced. What was most embarrassing was that mine and Divyanka's parents were also present and I was not able to please them. I felt so down that I did not even attend the party that was organized after the award ceremony."
Asked about Rajat Tokas winning the award, he diplomatically says, "As an actor even he worked equally hard and I think this is his first award so good for him."
Keeping his disappointment aside, Sharad adds that he is happy with the recognition Dulhann has got. "This year Dulhann has got 8 awards which is great. I made a promise to myself that I wanted to make this serial the number one on television so it feels even better."
Ok, so what next in Dulhann? "There is a single track going on between me and Divyanka so it's quite hectic. But we will work even harder so that next year we get even more awards," he states confidently.
Well, Sharad has won four awards this year so we see no reason for him to be too disappointed.

Is it just me or is this guy overconfident?I think Rajat clearly is a winner cos at the age of 14 he has carved such a niche for himself in all fields.The character is an all in all package,romance,action,drama,emotions...everything.And i think for a 14 yr old dude to pull off romance without looking cheesy or silly is an achievement in itself.
