Little Champs Finalist Sameer To Do A Film
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs finalist Sameer Mohhamad from Mumbai (Goregaon) is real busy.
Recently Sameer had been signed up to do the playback for two movies. Now he has been signed to do a cameo in one of them.
Says the 10-year-old Sameer, "I'm singing one song called 'Thar Thar Patte Kape Jaise' for Prithviraj Chauhan which is an animated movie. Another movie in which I'm singing is 'Johnny Johnny Yes Papa'. This film is for children and Paresh Kamdar is the director of this film. The song goes like this… 'Piche ko duniya aage ko sapne'. The composer of this song is Vaid Nayyar. He saw my performance in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs and offered me this song and I accepted."
"When Paresh Kamdar asked me to do a small role in Johnny Johnny Yes Papa, I agreed. I am playing the singer who sings Piche Ko Duniya… The song will be picturised on me."
Sameer doesn't want to act in films. His goal is playback singing. Says he, "My favourite singer is Kishore Kumar and I would like to sing with Latadidi. My favourite song is 'Chanda O Chanda'.
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has made Sameer famous in his mohalla, but his friends and known people, he says, have not started behaving abnormally with him just because he is a Lil Champ. "They all treat me like they used to earlier", he grins.
