I think wigs were there from olden times. Might be not the sticky ones that we have now.
Examples.
In Mahabharatha, Arjun dresses up as a women when they were hiding. It is said that he wore long hair at that time.
Again in mahabharatha, chitrangadha dresses as a man when she fights with arjun.

Hey I guess those times women power were given more importance than now. Our puranas highly talk about girl-power using Savithri, Kaikeyi, Durga, Kali etc etc

ya u r rite.......in dose days women were given more respect......u know abut SWAMBERS.......rajkumaries were given chance to choose dere husband.....moreover dere was no parda system at dat time....only wen muslim invaders came purda system came into existance......

sati system was dere in olden times but ppl of olden times never forced any women to do dis ....... women ended their life by their own wish wid dere husbands.....

There was one when prc was fighting with Pashaan. One can clearly notice this. Initially they show Pashaan wearing something poisonous (i am not sure what they are called, let me call them Rings) on his both hands and trying to kill prc by scratching him 10 times. Suddenly that thing dissappears from his right hand, and they show Pashaan holding on to the stick with his hand. Then again it appears on both hands just before prc pulls them off with those two sticks.

Wz 2oooooooo busy watchin Raj's fight.did'n observe sooooo closely.

Those are called tiger claws.Even Shivaji wore it during the fight.When his enemy came near him under the prospect of developing friendship he had the plan of embracing him n then 2 stab him.But Shivaji, in a flash of 2nd killed him usin dose tiger claws.They 've b'come a trademark of Mahratta dynasty.I think those claws are still preserved in a museum.
