Even other mythologicals are different than what is shown in serials.

I think production house starts off well but later they use fiction according to TRP and finance.
In the old articles of prithviraj chauhan pariva pranati mentioned that swayamwar was really important and after that other things like jaichand joining hands with ghori happened. Even a sneak peak of characters was given, which is totally different as they show now.

Since Rajat was doing prithvirajs role, TRP went higher and they cashed money. To drag the story they changed it so it will give even higher TRPs(and money).

My point is that most of production houses always claim to have done research etc. but when it comes to TRP they forget their "research".
