Ok CVs really need to do some homework. If they really want to show this inter-cast culture story they really need to educate themselves with Gujarati culture. First of all we don't call it Makar Sankranti, we call it Uttarayan.......it is the start of the holy month. When they said Makar Sankranti I was like what?? We don't have such a big holy day like that in Guju culture. I actually had to look it up. I find it annoying, that I am Guju and I still don't know what they are talking about...!!! . But they don't even have the terminology right. In a way, this could be a very educational serial, but if they are going to teach it wrong, then don't try to make such a big issue about culture and ceremonies.

I have heard both, but Makar Sankrati is used mainly in North. Srly CV's need to be more careful about what they show.
