Sajjan did'nt gave them a Love that they deserve ...when he had a physical relationship with Shakuntala ..he should'nt have left her alone by that time ...In India,if a man goes physical with any women and eventually a women get pregnant then that man has to take up their responsiblity ...but he left them nd that what he did wrong ..as Muskaan said womens are not a piece of cloth .

i realize this might sound cynical but physical relationahip and love isn't necessarily co-related ... sometimes its just about sex ...and kids borne to women other than a man's legal wife are dime a dozen in every country not just india ... if men were legally obligated to bring the woman home, what would she be going there as ? esp if he's already married and bigamy is a no-no?
coming to the child - does India have any laws on the books requiring the men to acknowledge the child and provide for him / her?
from my understnding SS did provide for them materially ... but never acknowledged them legally ... which leads to more questions why...was SS already marreid to SDS when he had the affair that resulted in ASY? was the relalationship consentual or was the lady forced / coerced by her master? did SS make her any promises and later broke them and married SDS?
still too many questions unanswered for me to take sides .. most likely because from what they've shown so far ASY made it in life inspite of being a bas***d and having a father like SS ... that alone should be an accomplishment he should carry with pride and say to hell with you SS ... instead he's making himself out to be a victim Confused
also... would he trade his law education for a chance to be an uneduated child of SS like the other 3?

i think we need to be patient..the answer to these queries are based on the future track ...i think that SS must have forced himself on Shakuntala for sex coz this men can't love any woman.just my speculation 😊

What makes you think SS forced himself on her? Or is that just what youd like the story to be?😕
If SS had indeed forced himself, and I dont think he did BTW, the revenge leader is more likely to have been his Mum than ASY - and she isnt. Far from it - she looked pathetic and pretty embarassed by the whole thing.
Status??? What bloody status exactly?
What is the status of a married woman having sexual relations, forced or otherwise, with a presumably then married man exactly?
I say none. She got money by way of maintenance, a roof over her head without having to pay any rent - that's a pretty good deal if you ask me.
As for ASY - what a dumbass!! He has no respect for his mother or her wishes at all!!
Hell bent on a revenge that his mother doesnt even appear to want!!!
Why cant he just be a champion lawyer for the poor, raise his head high and be known as his mother's son with pride and hell with the absent dad???
If anything is to be seen, I reckon Shakuntaliya hasnt given her bitwa the full facts maybe
I reckon ASY's hatred for SS is misplaced and he will in fact come to know the truth that far from being his enemy - maybe just maybe this absent dad of his was a saviour of sorts
As for SS hating women, I'm not so sure he's a mysogenist as such, just someone who has definite places for where he thinks women belong... he aint my cup of tea for sure!!! But plenty of women seem to be OK with his thinking...fortunately or unfortunately as the case may be...

Has ASY even bothered to listen to what his mother wants or does he know what she wants because both are wanting different things.

Shakutala wants acceptance and ASY wants his mother's rightful place in the Haveli. Both have different meanings

yep i agree ..but Shakuntala being a servant does'nt had enough courage to face them ...she is sticking upto her limits .,she feels that Sajjan paying for their expense and giving his haveli to live is enough for her...as a servant she only wants this ..her demands are fulfilled ...but she does'nt know that SS did wrong with her ..ASY is just fighting for his mother...you see when ASY was sticking upon his decision to stay at TN ...she did backed up ASY a bit...well we need to watch further to know about these queries.

Well ASY and his mother got a better deal than most divorced or illegitimate get. Some don't get financial help like ASY and his mother have got. a lot of her issues were taken care of

If for acceptance of both then I can understand.

What did SS do wrong that Shakutala also did wrong. Had they both consented to a relationship then both are in the wrong as a women to have an affair with a married women is morally wrong. Not only SS is wrong but mother is wrong
