Can't lay this one fully on the Takurs this time. Prats misled them to believe that she's the one with the problem. Sure GD may have masterminded plans to get K remarried, they believe he can father a child. None of the Takurs can read a report, they are all uneducated. One could say that Prats took advantage of their illiteracy and misled them. The Takurs are old school and live the way they've known all their lives. One can even say Prats has given them cause to mistrust her next time she reads anything to them.

GD did do a 180 but she's hung up like all the senior Takurs about the continuation of K's lineage. Bottom line, if Prats wants forgiveness from the Takurs and K for misleading them all these weeks however noble her intention and sacrificial her stance, she's got to be willing to forgive them too realizing she had a part in this scenario. Forgiveness is never about the other person anyways. She can't expect to live under their roof and alienate every one of them. As it is she's never tried to mingle with the Takurs. Earlier on they accepted her for K's sake but she was hating K in the early months of marriage and that made things worse with time.

As Mahatma Gandhiji said..." The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong."

One of my favorite quotes on forgiveness by Thomas S. Szasz is "The stupid neither forgive nor forget, the naive forgive and forget, the wise forgive but do not forget". You decide, which category do each of the Takurs and Prats fall in?

Isn't that where favouritsm comes in Samar Pratap Singh, is the eldest grand child, yet he will be the spare🥱 never the heir.

I agree that being able to forgive someone is very noble, even if you just forgive and not forget. But I don't think many people are able to do that, or even if I would be able to absolutely forgive someone who behaved liked this with me. Obviously, since Pratigya has to live with Ghanti Dadi, the best approach would be to go back to a cordial relationship. But I do not think it is possible to forgive her truly from the heart.

I know Pratigya misled everyone to believe that she had the problem and Krishna's lineage would continue if he had another wife... but really, is continuation of lineage THAT important? Especially, when the Thakur lineage is still continuing already, Samar has been present in the house for 5 yrs. Shakti has a child and likely Shakti will continue to line up more future heirs for GD, SS and SDS to play with. So, is it that important that Krishna has a child of his own?

This old aunt of mine said something to me a some time ago. She has a few sons but none are ready to marry anytime soon. She said she doesn't pressurize them into it, even though I'm sure she would like grandchildren. But she said she doesn't believe in all this "Continue the lineage" talk... once she's gone from this world, it would not matter who would be left behind. It would not matter whether or not the family lineage will continue. I do not know yet how wise or foolish this statement is, but when the Thakurs talk about continuing lineage, I cannot help but remember my aunt 😊

She shouldn't be. but then we know Prats. She'll forgive her. I actually don't blame her. Some people melt quickly.. can not stay mad at their loved ones for long. I think had i been in her place would have done that too if the other person is genuinely sorry.

by the way, I voted for No.

Yes Prats did deceive them, but she did it out of love. Can you honestly compare it with the kind of deceptions carried out by the family? We're talking about a group of people that were planning to kill her at one point and ended up injuring Piasiya instead. Prats did hate Krishna in the beginning, but wouldnt you hate someone who basically forced you into marriage and broke up your previous engagement, not to mention harassed your family?
As for the question of forgiveness, this girl took a bullet for Krishna. She protected him at her own expense, and she is doing the same again. Considering what she has gone through for him, the family could show a little understanding and see her motives were pure. She clearly didn't think they were going to get carried away and look for a second DIL.
