what i find seriously disturbing is the number of fangirls on this forum who can't see beyond 'lowe lowe lowe'. Krishna as a character has SERIOUS flaws. Today's episode proves it. I rarely watch this show, because i feel the protagonist; Pratigya, has lost her charm and her voice. She is fickle now. Like any other ekta serial bahu. What we saw today was Krishna's guilty conscience eating away at him. Regardless of how much in 'love' Krishna and Pratigya are in now, the truth is, that the marriage is a farce because it was forced upon Pratigya. Krishna became infatuated with P at first sight. (Yes, infatuated. How can you fall in love with someone, you know nothing about?) He obsessed over her, and bullied her and her family into a one sided marriage. In reality we all know how a story like this would end. (Read: behind the prison bars.) Since this is fiction, chalo maan lete hai. Today's episode depicts Krishna's narrow mindedness, and shows how ruthless and volatile the character can be. He is sexist, mannerless, unintelligent and unforgiving. No less than a barbarian in some ways. Unless the creatives bring in some major changes to Krishna's character, Pratigya will have to live her life under the thakur's terms, and adjust to their likes and dislikes. I wonder how any future offspring of theirs will turn out? How can a man like Krishna, who believes guncrime and bloodshed is the only solution, a man, who has no aims and goals in his life, no job, become a good father to any child? Pratigya cannot give the child a healthy upbringing alone, especially not in an environment like the haveli. (Read: Kesar and Shakti's son, who witnessed his father bring a prostitute into their bedroom). Despicable. I found Krishna's thoughts on Ganga and Gunga having to be punished appalling. I hope the creatives of this show, turn the situation around and are concious of the decisions they make in regards to the story plot. There is more to this show than Kriya. And it could be a very effective way of getting social messages across, but it's not working right now. There are a lot of teen boppers around who can't see anything beyond the acronym 'Kriya' and the TRP's of this show (which has absolutely nothing to do with them). Forget everything else, the least he can do is do right by his wife and his family. That's not too much to ask for, right?
