GEC Ratings: Sony and Colors take a slight beating, Star Plus gains rating points

Zee TV gains enormously but maintains fourth rank in the order, Life OK enters the fray with 87 GRPs

The TAM reports on GECs for Week 52, the last week of 2011, are out. Star Plus continues to remain at the top with a significant gain of 14 GRPs at 344.

Sony and Colors occupy the second and third place but both took a slight beating at their respective ratings and registered 235 (246) and 218 (221) GRPs respectively.

Zee TV was the highlight of this week. The channel registered an increase of 53 GRPs at 208 as compared to Week 51.

The newly launched channel from the Star bouquet, Life OK grabbed its share of eyeballs in its first week and registered 87 GRPs and closed in at the sixth position in the GEC table (after SAB which recorded 122 (121) GRPs).

We got higher than SGP than we shud be higher than them in the rankings and be in 7th instead. There has got to be some mistake in this as im getting irritated at these different trp results. I understand the hindi speaking market ratings will be different but SGP getting higher than us and from televisiontrp.com of 3.34 and the telescope top 10 of 3.28 SGP ratings compared arent that different whereas we got higher on televisiontrp.com of 3.41 than them yet not in top 10 on telescopes. I find the whole information of this wrong and something is not right in this watsover. This shud be looked at as this weeks info seems very very wrong to me. We easily shud be in top ahead of SGP, zee rishtey awards, CID and Bodyguard film & i stress i feel summat is not right. Even dance india dance which got a trp of 3.7 on televisiontrp.com is not even on top 10.

Something is very wrong in this information and shud be checked and I hope the logic of my reasoning that I have stated above make sense to you.

Apologies if anyone is offended but I feel the difference between MKAP televisiontrp.com trps 3.41 to the telescope trps is so big then why is SGP televisiontrp.com trps of 3.34 doesnt have a big difference to the telescope top 10 one of 3.28. Why does MKAP have such a big gap whereas SGP doesnt? There is not logic to it whatsoever and needs to be rechecked. If u compare the rest of the shows televisiontrp.com trps and telescopes top 10 trps there is a huge difference in all their TRP's besides SGP which is very small compared to the rest. Im not picking on any show or source but I feel this is injustice to MKAP and these numbers have to be checked agen.
