He sure can, remember once when both KP were staying at Chandu's place for quite some time before Guru Maa insisted that SS call them back to the house despite SS's reluctance he had to call, he loves his son but the attraction of a woman can erode any relationship regardless, that's the kind of command and control an attractive girl can have.

Not just in the drama in general it's a hard core reality for us male folk, the undiluted attraction of a girl is so incredibly high & potent the pure *lust* factor, on the basic animalistic level i'm referring to here, men are animals & I say that being a man/husband/father, the allure of a woman will ALWAYS be there it is such a zabardast motivation within, doesn't matter how many times you marry or multiply your family by or how content you are with our marriage or how pretty your wife is , I'm being brutally honest here. Marriage helps curb that & then of course children to large extent BUT that allure of another woman can seep in at any time if you're not strong enough even to the most self proclaimed husbands of all. It's a constant battle & when a man loses the plot, then he loses it completely children become insignificant at that point & that is exactly what SS's character portrayal is all about currently.

It's not about his stature or anything, he has succumbed to his infatuation when that happens you don't look at your family or your social status the animal within takes over combined with greed and selfishness it's an honest depiction & the root cause of it is the desire for another girl, being a father grandfather, or a great grandfather has nothing to do with it, because it has no significance once you're usurped.
