In my dictionary the Saxena's are dignified and the thakur's are a bunch of hooligans , just for the fact that they blackened P's face and killed an innocent child in the mother's womb. Dignity and respect cannot be snatched or forced it should be earned. And in this case Pratigya and her family has earned it by suffering day in and day out in the hands of the thakur's.

And yes my reaction changes towards K's behavior because He pursued her and practically dragged her into his criminal family. It is his responsibility to protect her from the atrocities and he failed miserably.

Anyways Tanths it's nothing personal. I dislike criminals , actually the proper word would be I hate criminals and I watching your wife been dragged by the cops is a disgraceful criminal activity in my eyes. Sorry , I am not that forgiving. This realistic fiction is very real for me because I work with women who has experienced it.

I do not expect you to understand my feelings because you won't.

It was nice expressing views with you but now I would refrain from answering anything. I feel it's a waste of time.

I would love to to answer ur post,Anu..but that would end up in hijacking from this threads intent... maybe we will exchange our opinion's some other day, that is if we come across one another..

@ Bold..Quite a reciprocal feeling... 😊

I have been watching MKAP right from the first episode... I like everything about the serial... the characters who are very real and not staged or OTT like in other serials... I like the small town India setting, the LALLANTAAP dialogues and the way the CVs have tried to potray the harsh realities of life ...

I also liked the story line ... simple educated homely girl meets rich uneducated spolit brat...😆
I liked the Saxes too in the beginning but now they are just caricatures of themselves... the Thakurs... are fabulous... never has there been such an interesting bunch in the history of TV...

The one thing that keeps me riveted to the serial is our KRIYA jodi... superb, outstanding, amazing, mindboggling chemistry... we are so lucky to be here in this moment of time and see these two actors create magic on screen... they look so real, so made for each other, I can watch them for hours... they literally shoot sparks off each other...😳

Krishna is ... the most unique character ever... very good looking in a masculine and earthy kind of way... 😳 (however I'm sure if the role required it, AB can portray the suit-wearing metro sexual guy equally well 👍🏼 )

More than that, it is character Krishna who is very fascinating... all the diff shades of grey...and the pure-gold loving heart beneath ... Full credit to AB for breathing life into Krishna... one cannot imagine K without AB potraying him... 👏 all the K mannerisms, his dialogues, those expressive eyes..his pure love for Pratigya... OUTSTANDING...
😳

How were the Sax's different in the initial episodes ?? or was it bec ..The Thakur's eclipsed the sax's after their intro..??

Yes the first promo which ran for quite some time lead me to watch the very first episodes and then the rest is history, and yes it was my own immanent volition, nothing to do with my family, they actually resented my interest in this type of a show.

And yes I want to see what happens in the end to the daring girl who took it upon herself to teach a lesson to the goon, but fell for him. And what changes the influence of both if any, will bring to each others life in the end, keeping in mind that it still is a figment of imagination of a writer's mind and both K & P are fictional characters, so not to worry too much in the end.

However I believe that this serial does presents some very clear choices / questions to the young viewers, who can see the horrific consequences of the wrong choices, some lessons that may help them in seeing the ground reality that may make a difference in someones life.

Quite right...One should always bear in mind that it is a fiction and the characters act out in such a way bec the creator's wants them to ..Yes !! It will be interesting to see how each influence one another and how they influence the whole !!

That for me has been it's attraction, bec it does not say Do it..it says ..So n So did that and is facing such an such results...do what u think is right !! ..The fact it leaves the decision upon us is the USP for me..😊

Absolutely Tanths 👍🏼 But by the same token, what if the writers like you and Mera could attempt to highlight a bit of the underlying messages as well for the benefit of many young readers along with the usual wonderful posts that you guys so unrelentlessly writes every day.😊

I imagine all teenagers are busy watching "Pretty Little Liars, Glee, Teen Mom. The secret life of an American Teenager"
At least my 12-year old son would never dream of watching any show as heavy hitting as MKAP
I see MKAP as a window into the social issues prevalent in this rural part of India, which I imagine I will never visit. I am facinated by every facet of every character's lives. The language is phenominal! It is the language of my forebearers. And then there is the dirama and characters. Pretty good by soap opera standards.
But the best thing is this forum. Amazing writers come on every day to provides a critical daily analysis of show. Such insight!
I have never watched any other show, so I have nothing to compare MKAP against or visited any other forum.

Lovestea 👏 ditto my thoughts, that is why we can not stay away from this show or this forum, some times you get first hand experience of the kind of views and the reasons for watching this show that makes you wonder, 😉

On an evening during April 2010..when I was left to myself all alone with TV..kid slpet off..my friends in our apartment had already left for their vacations..I just started surfing the channels. In SP ..it was MKAP..name changing havan scene...
Pratigya was going against changing her name..I was like...changing name and that too when the person dislikes it? I ahvent heard anyting like that before.
The girl lukd dignified...
Then they showed her husband, the pair was extremely good but seeing the male lead...I was like..."huh!! any one in a lead role?" then I thot he might be doing an anti-role asn thats why he is like this. Then came his parents...with a different lingo..and interesting too...
His mother telling that her DIL didnt make his son happy duirng their SR...I was surprised to see such contents been talked in open like this...i was kuch bhi...
Even when the scene with him looking at fire..I thought he jsut has physical interests..such was his intent gaze and such was her hatred.

Then I had forgotten about this at all...as my evenings are normally busy with my kid and friends.

Then I started seeing the show randomly..not regularly..abck then I dont know even the show timings. Was seeing 4 30 repeats. One day watched the scene wer KP n Komarsh reach their honeymoon venue..ohh they have come to this stage...they are on a honeymoon...jsut wanna the check the previous day update...I dont know till then that YT has shows regular updates..I jsut googled it...on the top was india-forums...I royall ignored it as I dont like to be part of any forums other than technical forums.

From then on watching it quite regularly...but joined forum around June ...
and frankly its this forum taht makes me continue watch this show.

Looks like the Havan scene was the one that captured a lot of people's interests...

For me it was the honeymoon marital scene, which I saw a glimpse of it in SBS..it was so hard hitting...started watching it on TV...but we were behind in UK...Went to UTube..catched all the episodes...

The engagement sequence was also really good..that was when I realized that AB can act... 😳
