Amma doesn't realize words have power. She is meddling but saying she wants them to always be together. Her prophecy will come true but she'll end up on the outs with her son instead. She has made such a notanki of it publicly in front of the family that when the crap hits the roof and her colors show up like a badly tossed salad she's going to lose face in front of everyone in the family.

I am eagerly waiting for that day... but I feel SS knows what is taking place he is simply keeping his distance because he is smart well aware of the outcome if something was to go wrong so in the end Amma will loose face while SS will have no problem.. unless the CV's finally decide to uncover his true colors !!
