Hello Amit,

I usually do not comment on posts anymore, but I had to reply to this one because I feel it is very offensive towards the definitions of societal rules.

Husband and wife are equal partners in a marriage. This is the 21st century and not a prehistoric world where husbands were put on a pedestal as GOD. Those type of thoughts were imposed by chauvinistic male dominant population of the society. If a wife takes pleasure in pressing her husband's legs as a way to show her love and support , then the husband should be able to do the same for her.

Coming back to the episode, the gesture that Pratigya showed was out of love and similarly what Krishna did was his love for her. Illogical rules of the society should not apply here.

This is entirely my opinion. This is not to offend anyone's feelings.

Amit you are fully entitled to your opinions and views. There are many generations of people alive who still believe in this ritual. but on the other hand...husband and wife are together on sickness and in health. So many modern couples like to express this. Like kissing in public older generations didn't do it, but younger generations do. You'll understand marriage and its terms more when you are on that situation.
