NEWSLETTER WORD COUNT: 1841
Monday's mischief is loaded with zingers. You are about to enter the Niwas for a day of notanki created by none other than the nefarious nari aka Kesamma. A very motivated Krishna is off to find his spot to set up his Dhaba. Prats questions Kesamma's role as mother and calls her bluff. SS and SDS are skeptical watchers of the ensuing diraama and KN gets his tongue-lash for the day from his pitaji.
Krishna is off to find some real estate for his dhaba'.after all its all about location, location, location. Presiding judge Takur Sajjan Singh listens to evidence from plaintiff Kesamma, questions Kesar, the defendant and listens to arguments presented on her behalf from her legal counsel Prats.
Kesamma has become the monkey that Kesar just can't get off her back. She bullies Kesar into giving KN a second chance but Kesar unequivocally refuses to pander to her mother's wishes and live as wife to a man who is a killer pretending to be a reformed husband. Second chance? Sure a second chance to make a pass at Arusi as he did at the hospital after Kesamma's arrival in town. How many times has Kesar given this bayil buddhi of a man chances only to have her teeth kicked in, slapped around, her babies killed, and eventually buried alive. Does such a man deserve another chance at marital bliss with her again? Nope. He has burned his chances once too many times. The fact that he is not rotting in a jail somewhere is plenty enough. Proof of that is seen in his eyes when Kesar shirks his hold on her hand and leaves the room. Kudos Kesar! Keep it up! The gall of Kesamma to expect Kesar to share a room with the man who didn't think twice about burying her daughter alive!
The truth is Kesamma want Kesar to hook up with KN for one simple reason: keys to the Takur Kingdom. This is the foundation she has to lay to ensure she gets her hands on SS's wealth. She didn't care to come and see her daughter once in all these years to see what her life was like under this roof, but now she wants to make sure Kesar and KN are back together? Do you smell greed in the air? Goes to show what little value she has for her daughter's life even after knowing the truth that Kesar had been buried alive by the very man she is encouraging Kesar to forget the past and give him another chance. There comes a point in one's life when she draws the line and says enough is enough. Kesar is only staying at the Niwas bec' she knows SS would never let her out of his sight when she is the custodiam of his prized potha at the moment.
Prats comes out after hearing Kesamma's loudmouth rantings. The look on KN's face is priceless, he knows his goose has been cooked when he sees Prats "vakalat ki murthi" presence there. Kesar lets Prats in on what the hoopla is all about. '. She is being forced by her mother to share her room with KN. When Prats questions Kesamma how she could ask her daughter to do such a time even after knowing the truth, the piranha from hell accuses Prats of stirring trouble for her own benefit by instigating Kesar to ruin her marriage. She tells Prats she has no right to interfere in her daughter's marriage as she is of a different caste. Krishna watches on but says nothing in response to a poke at his Pratigya? Prats tells Kesamma to bring this matter to SS the next day and takes Kesar to her room to spend the night there. Krishna tells Kesamma's way to get to bed and talk about things the next day and follows the bahus back to his bedroom..
Kesar takes Krishna's spot on the bed while Krishna takes the couch. He turns to glance at Prats and invites her to join him on the couch which Prats declines, so he drifts off to sleep with a smile on his face. Looking forward to his dreams awaiting him tonight, maybe?
The next morning, Prats is very impressed with Krishna who has completed his tanda tanda paani routine and ready for the brand new day. SS greets Krishna as he is finishing his breakfast and tells his Baba that he always has his blessings no matter what his state of mind. SDS is miffed at the mention of Krishna finding a place for his Dhaba and walks away. SS gives his Baba chummis on his cheeks and sends him on his way to find the location for his dhaba.
SS is peacefully having his morning cup of tea but the nefrarious nari Kesamma is back to stir trouble and ruin his day. She comes to center stage lugging her baggage. She starts on a weary note of not being ready to take any more insults but ready to leave town as she may have outstayed her welcome. Don't you be tricked into believing she has mellowed down since last night's notanki. She is just laying the groundwork, the big notes are likely to go into high pitch soon enough. She makes sure she is causing enough drama as each member of the Takur family saunters in on center stage.
SS decides to diffuse this diraama before it gets any worse. He wants to know if his Takurain was offensive to her. Talk about a zinger at Takurain! He knows his wife well. Now that doesn't sit well with his mehraroo one bit and she makes sure her face reflected that. Not that SS is particularly paying any attention to Takurain's reaction at the moment. Kesamma makes sure she lays the butter on thick to win the lady of the house to her corner. She is integral to her plan to pirate the Takur wealth. She says SDS has been a Devi personified. Takurain didn't believe her one bit when Kesamma called her a Devi. Even she doesn't believe that about herself, so she darts a suspicious look at Kesamma. SS and SDS let the notanki unfold giving curious glances to the houseguest who has chosen to scream the Niwas down with her rona dhona concert. She squats on center stage and begins her rona-dhona gana with the attentive audience being every member of the Takur family. Meet the noisy version of Naina! Kesamma wants everyone to know she's crying. GD gives a suspicious look once Kesamma starts blaming Prats for it. Takurain seems to be playing the waiting game until she gets the whole story behind the sambhandji's tirade.
SS has had it with Kesamma's rona-dhona gana. But Prats is calm, this crying spell doesn't phase her, after all this is familiar territory for her she's used to this rona-dhona before at her maike though they go for the silent brand of G-J-B. Kesamma's agenda is all about her and how she can get her hands on all of SS's wealth. Is she motivated by greed and hoping once she gets SS's money she can entice her husband back into her life? She lays the blame for her plans to leave on Prats's insults to her the night before.
Takurain wants Kesamma to finish her story so she shuts Prats up. SS finally understands this woman's game. KN joins in his sasuma's tirade and declares if Kesar won't live with him as his wife he'll leave the haveli. SS is too smart for Mr. Bayil Buddhi, he doesn't want to risk the safety of his bahu and the prized potha she is carrying at the moment, so he dares KN he is welcome to get lost.
Seeing her plans falling apart even before the foundation has been set in stone, Kesamma tries to pacify SS, promising him to keep an eye on Kesar and the baby. All she wants is for SS to tell Kesar and KN to get back together. Is SS paying attention to her manipulatives streak? When SS asks Kesar's opinion she candidly confesses she'd rather not live with the man, she'll take a pass on it and rather not live with him. This improved Kesar is very appealing, not only is she standing up to the pressure rather well but she doesn't shy away from letting everyone know where she stands with KN candidly.
Kesamma tries yet another way to salvage her plan to get Kesar and KN back as man and wife. She cant take this humiliation so she is ready to take off. When SS inquires where she plans to stay she starts the second half of her rona-dhona concert. She can't show her face to the rest of the world but she sure can wake up the entire town with her wailing.
Kesamma couldn't hold on to her husband, her mard took off to the mountains parts unknows, after renouncing the world. Life must have been one joy ride of excitement to last a lifetime that he decides he needed to call it quits with his wife too much to cope living with this woman, must have been more than any man can take in a lifetime. Can we really blame the man after living with a fishwife in constant battle mode and conniving as hell?
So now her toilet kit includes poison? SS doesn't seem to give a care about her drinking the poison, though KN and SDS are alarmed along with GD. Prats questions her "what kind of mother are you that even after knowing all that's happened to Kesar you are still forcing to do things your way?" Bingo! Good question Prats! Keep going. You want to destroy your daughter's life by threatening to kill yourself?" Now Prats goes for the zinger '''. .just what I wanted her to see her do''. she dares Kesamma "If that's the case go ahead and drink all that poison and finish yourself off. Now there you go Prats! Your daughter has to live a painful life but you'll have it your way. She tries to lay a guilt trip on Kesar when she announces to her "your mother is about to drink poison and die in front of everyone, now you will be at peace" after Prats dares her to go ahead and do it. While Takurain, Kesar, KN and GD are looking on with varying ranges of fear and concern, SS and Prats are showing indifference to her shenanighans.
Lets hope Kesamma's shrieking notanki is limited to once a week which is a bit much as it is. She is pretending to drink the poison but we know she's got Gandhiji's rupee note signs in her eyes. She's going to make life as miserable as she can for Prats. Kesamma will key Takurain up like a wind-up monkey and use her to make Prats's life a living hell at the Niwas unless she is out at the Dhaba helping Krishna run his business.
