no hun..because it doesn't allow you to go it.. it is a fake win 7 security alert pretending to be part of microsoft. it will ask you to buy the prog - so that it can capture your payment details.

so as it is so clever not allowing you to open any progs up.. you cannot fix it - if you try manually you will end up deleting progs.

system reinstallment will be required as it doesn't allow you to do a system restore either.

did u go into it after seeing my thread?or before?

was in meratv that affected you or dailymotion.

Thats exactly what i have! ok i have managed to fix my registry files so can now open all programs. following this - http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm - downwload the EXE File Association Fix only - then follow the instructions at the top of the page. this will restore the registry back to normal. should be able to then open your virus software and KILL this virus.
