Aham-Jigar's dreams come true in Macao |
The handsome brothers of the Modi family, Aham and Jigar from Saath Nibhaana Saathiya on STAR Plus, just cannot stop raving about their experience at the STAR Parivaar awards in Macao. This was the first time that the brothers were also nominated and this just made this year's awards extra special for them. |
Aham exclaims, "This was my first foreign visit and I got the opportunity to travel to such an exciting foreign country, meet new people -it was superb." Jigar too adds, "I was super duper impressed by the way the awards were conducted. It was a work-cum-holiday for me. The STAR team was so nice and supportive that we did not feel that we were in a foreign country. My character Jigar in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya is my first full fledged role in a STAR Plus show and the role is very close to my heart."
Fans of the show have been waiting to see some romance between Aham - Gopi and they will be glad to know that they will get a glimpse of it at STAR Parivaar awards. Aham reveals, "Gopi and I performed on the romantic number Tum Jo Aaye Zindagi Mein from Once Upon a Time in Mumbai. We did not get much time to rehearse but gave it our best shot"
Jigar too performed at the event with the entire Modi parivaar for company. He reveals, "We performed on the track Prem Jaal but I got a chance to rehearse with Rashi, just once before leaving for Macao though I couldn't rehearse with Kokila kaki. There was this particular step where Rashi and I had to balance a bamboo stick on our bodies, so I was scared that it may go wrong during the final performance. I was nervous about forgetting the other dance steps too, but thankfully our act turned out well. I have to say that the arena, where we performed was superb and it was like a dream to perform at such a venue."
Other than the performance, Jigar was more excited about his participation in the STAR Parivaar music video and had a valid reason for the same. "I always wished to be part of the STAR Parivaar video, whenever I saw it on TV. To tell you the truth, more than me my mom wanted me to be part of it- so I couldn't be happier," smiles Jigar.
Talking about their escapades in the free time, the duo says, "We did not get much free time, so we missed out on sightseeing but we did shop for some personal stuff." We had a group of friends and enjoyed hanging out with them. Aham says, "We spent most of our time with Pooja Gor, Jay Soni and the Saathiya team. Right from breakfast to dinner, we would be with our fabulous group and have a blast together."
So what part of the awards did they enjoy the most? "It is definitely the Gondola ride after which we entered the red carpet at the awards," claims Aham while Jigar states, "Yes I agree. Kokila Kaki and Kinjal joined us during the ride but Gopi and Rashi missed it because they were not ready yet, you know how much time girls take," he laughs.
