GEC Watch: Sony replaces Zee at No.3
Sony Entertainment Television beats Zee TV to become the No. 3 channel, as it grabs 200 GRPs for the week.
While STAR Plus continues to lead the Hindi GEC flock, it has lost 53 GRPs for the week ended December 11 (TAM data for C&S 4+, HSM). The channel has 362 GRPs in Week 50; while its relative share has slipped down from 28.2 per cent to 26.1 per cent in this period.
Viacom18's channel, Colors, continues at No. 2. It has 273 GRPs in Week 50, which is 72 less than in the previous week. Its relative share has also dropped from 23.4 per cent to 19.6 per cent.

Meanwhile, Sony Entertainment Television has ousted Zee TV from the third spot. It has 200 GRPs for the week, as compared to 181 GRPs in Week 49; while its relative share has moved up to 14.4 per cent from 12.3 per cent.
Zee TV, though down to No. 4, has added both in terms of GRPs and channel share. While it has added 15 GRPs to its kitty to stand at 199 GRPs; its channel share has grown from 12.4 per cent in Week 49 to 14.3 per cent in Week 50.
Zee TV is followed by Sony's sibling, SAB with 137 GRPs. The channel was at 120 GRPs in the previous week. Its relative share has also increased from 8.1 per cent to 9.8 per cent in this period.
Imagine TV is at No. 6 with 86 GRPs. Its relative share has seen an upswing from 5.8 per cent in the previous week to 6.2 per cent in Week 50.
DD1 is at No. 7; the channel's relative share is 2.8 per cent for the week, while its GRPs have moved down from 52 to 39.
STAR One and Sahara One have garnered relative shares of 2.6 per cent and 2.1 per cent, respectively; while STAR Utsav has 1.8 per cent.
The list of 10 most watched programmes is led by Saathiya Saath Nibhana on STAR Plus, which has a TVR of 5.9. Sony's Kaun Banega Crorepati - finale (5.4 TVR) is on No. 2; followed by Pratigya (5.3 TVR), Sasural Genda Phool (5.1 TVR) and Pavitra Rishta (4.9 TVR).
The other shows in the Top 10 list are: Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Laagi Tujhse Lagan (with 4.4 TVR each), Na Aana Is Des Laado (4.3 TVR), and Tere Liye and the grand finale of Comedy Circus Ka Jadoo (with 4 TVR each).
