The thing I dont understand Arushi is that she was not an old hag who was past her sell by date, but just a teenager who had her whole life ahead of her. What they showed was not women empowerment but an old trick used in drama to create melodrama.

I guess if the actress playing Arushi was good would have made it bearable, but unfortunately the actress has not been successful to gather sympathy for her POV of marrying Shakti, no matter how much the CVs try to show it.

To teach young girls in similar position they should have shown that being dumped at the alter was not the end of one's life but a start to one. Her hatred of Pratigya could have continued from afar and not be part of kitchen politics. Her revenge storyline could still have happened had they not linked it to the whole marriage of Shakti.

From what I have read is that Pratigya is unhappy about this marriage and not for the right reasons. Her thinking that her own family cant do any wrong really needs to be addressed and Arushi, along with Shakti need to be punished as both have committed a crime and not just Shakti. I dont have faith in the CVs to address this as the Saxes as a whole never reflect or learn from their mistakes. It is always someone else to blame and not them. The CVs are stubborn in showing it.

Star,

Neither would I have reacted the same way ....But let us not forget that this ppl are from middle calss BG and despite their degrees and So called Sanskaar's ..They are narrow minded bigots...They do not live the life on their own Principles but on the principles of the society ..and Society will laugh at them ..That is enough for them to think that their life is overand Aarushi was brought up in such a household , she did not have a chance of widening her outlook like Pratigya [who went out of the nest ..]..Her feeling that this was the end of the world was justified ..but her action afterwards..Not even feeling a momenatry pang of guilt for Kesar is not understandable..she is a small town girl with faith in good karma and bad..she must be squirming whenever Kesar was in sight..but u see her behaving like a queen..

I think it is not ony about revenge, it is also about Kesar and Krishna

Yemi, Komal will not learn anything until the Saxes dont treat her part of the family. Yes her views are not the same or righteous as Prof and Adarsh but then Arushi has turned into evil twit despite having the same upbringing. Prof has never once thought of his bahu but is too engrossed in his own self pity to realise that he is the cause to all the problems in the house...

Hey Starlight! Long time no see...
Prats as usual is being partial to her family. She just want to punish Shakti and 'save' Aarushi whom she thinks is all innocent not knowing what she did in the mist of emotions.....I've always felt the saxes have it easy in the sense that they're always able to get back on their feet without so much damage and unfortunately without learning from their mistakes.....I have the feeling prats will be successful and Aarushi will leave TN unscratched and still a virgin....IMO it's a big mistake from CVs' part to show that anyone throwing themself into fire like aarushia will out unhurt. CVs should show the consequences of willingly getting married to someone like Shakti....

Hey Aeryn,

It has been a long time....Been away for 3 weeks....So not been on the forum....

Agree with you that Arushi should not go unscathed as that will be the most unrealistic fold of event. Making Arushi remain a virgin just shows that they are not ready to say that those women who are not virgins before marriage have some sort of disease. Women lose their virginity for many reasons but that should not make them untouchables. No women empowerment happening....

Till now CVs have come up with ridiculous reasons save Aarushia from Shakti's touch. All point out to Aarushia getting out of TN still a virgin not suffering any consequences from her reckless decision....a shame really....very unrealistic....

I think the CVs think that until one remains a virgin under these circumstances they are strong empwering women. Both P and A would have lost theirs the same way in the real world. (ie rape)
