I personally think that the makers of these shows have no moral or social statements to make. They show social atrocities just so that some viewers may get their salacious pleasure out of watching such degrading scenes. Its like the rape scenes oh-so-common in the movies of the 70s(spcly the heroes'sisters). They served no purpose but provide cheap thrill. Socially relevant, true picture of the society, emancipation of women are nice terms. They sound good So what's harm in using these terms?

I agree on the above. I too had been saying that - there is no social statement being made...if it was, then sorry to say the world is totally skewered and we might as well all give up hope now..😃...Yeah, PGrey and team had to find a platform to bring the show to the forefront and so they picked a topic that seems to be quite sensitive in india and lo and behold, organisations and individuals jumped on the bandwagon and have been trumpeting loud and clear...never mind the actual story content.

Like you I used to watch the episodes online, then the episodes shown on tv even though I had already seen them online first, then the repeat telecast😆🤔....each day nearer the broadcast time I would be consumed by thoughts of the show. Now it has been quite a few weeks since I even watched an episode. The urge to do so is gone, ruined by the direction the story is going, the way the characters behave (even the lead pair) and off course the tired dialogues.😔

As you said it was even a fluke that this show hit the ceiling...because frankly speaking the cast and crew seem to have no affiliation with each other or even a common ground in promoting the show. More importantly, for me, I would like to watch characters who go through adversity, become stronger and learn from their actions....this show MKAP seems to have been frozen in time, the lead characters, and others, going through the same old motion and speech without even remembering their past actions and repercussions.... every now and then a token 'passionate' scene is given to appease those crying out for that - frankly I even find those scenes very cold now, especially as the actors in concern look like they would rather have their eyeballs pulled out than be there renacting their scene....Now the story has even veered into an asinine direction, which I doubt it will recover from -and if does it will be at the expense of those loyal veiwers who had been watching from day one.

The creative team had a brillant character in Krishna which they failed to utilise at all. That is a shame. Even if the show isn't on it's last legs, I doubt it would ever recapture the magic of the early few months....when they went to such lengths to butcher that character time and time again.

I am not interested in the real lives of these actors, I don't want to know them nor can I relate to them. Unfortunately, lately the rounds about personal lives had been too much that even if I wanted to ignore I couldn't...that coloured my perception of the show even more.... After all there is no such a thing as bad publicity....where certain people have been reclusive to the point of being a hermit suddenly now are on all the wires, there is only one conclusion that could be drawn...pastures new beckon and that old thing 'be out there, show what you are capable of' is being cultivated.

The blame doesn't wholly lie with the actors, in fact a fair proportion must be laid at the Production and Creative team. I can only think of one thing, their time and energy is being directed elsewhere...perhaps they are too confident, relying on the strength of the show to carry them for some time while they concentrate elsewhere. Whatever the reason, it is a shame to be limping. If I was the creator, I would end it on a high...rather than dragging on lifelessly and thus sullying the memories of the show.

It was a collective responsibilty and all of them failed to live upto it. To give the much maligned Ekta K her due I feel she has the knack of commanding respect and loyalty. Pearl grey has a long way to go. Thanx, btw.

i don't think that it's a fluke..............shanti bhushan is a renowned writer and its not just one character and dialogues that have clicked for the show............each and every character have their own uniqueness and depth and they represented various sessions and mindsets of the society............. i think they took this track for the sole purpose of reviving kesar, and they put masala element of entertainment in the story by making arushui the sauten rather than any new girl , which would have meant new characters again and also which would have made kriya look more impotent............bec if its was a new girl, kriya would have protested emphatically against the marriage, but here krishna was made to believe that sakthi did a great job by marrying arushi who was stranded at the mandap, and pratigya was silenced by the shocking slap from her dear little sister so that kesar should move on in her life to become a strong women.............the drum beats about sis-sis war r all strategies for more masala and drama..................and also would serve as a weapon for SS and amma to distance pratigya from krishna and get their son back............
and i think Arhaan and avantika were made to go to ITA together so as to promote the upcoming track with some masala bec arhaan was looking bored, uninterested and ofcourse irritated and angry.................and as SBS is a star Tv production , its the star network that is behind all the publicity and maybe Arhaan would have refused to corporate so they made him look bad and all other channels r just speculating on what ever SBS started without any solid proof(and this link up with avanyika when they r foot apart or even miles apart is nothing compared to what bollywood actors r subjected to on a daily basis, come on , we know how media works, they always takes pot shots at the actors..........) and even if there is truth in these speculations we must not be bothered about that, they r humans , they have the perfect liberty to live their life, who r we to judge them?
............and about the management issues- every production house encounters it one day or other and here the POPS r concentrating on 2 serials at a same time.........and also we could see the actors r giving their 100% even now and we must congratulate them on their professionalism that they r doing this even after suffering continuously for 3 months of neglect and unprofessional behavior from the POPS................and they r bound to be angry, they r the life blood of the show and they r made to suffer for no fault of theirs..............so lets not blame the writes and actors for the current state of affairs.............its POPS , they r to be blamed...............

Hey Dhanya,

@ blue i don't think they were made to sit together.They wanted to sit together and they did........and they have full liberty to do so.But the fact is it didn't look good where all the cast n crews sat together except them. And for the management issue ....yeah i agree that we can't blame the actors. 😊

i agreed 100%whatever u said too good and good to see you r still thinking postive about the show and arhaan i have the same feelings and they will not change due to the stupid media people.😡 but i dont think so that they made to sit togethrt no they sat there bec they wanted to and coming together and sitting together doesnot meands that they r dating each other friends can do so as kinshuk mahajan and parul chuhan they came together not once but twice in diwali function also but we alll know that they r not gf/bf secondly i seriously hope that everything will be fine within a few days because i dont want to loose such a good serial and sincere request to everyone please think positive about the serial and the actors .and i want arhaan to take a step forward and clarify all these rumours feeling really bad for him media is just ripping his personal life

Loved your post It reiterates what I am trying to say. We are too emotionally attached to the show that even if anything bad happens to the show we are deeply affected. This was the maiden venture of the show so maybe they are facing these teething problems. Or maybe they have financial constaints.

Your comments about SB was quite telling. The reason I am all the more aghast at the current free fall of the script is that it was not expected out of the team that gave us the MKAP ,I fell in love with. Do you think even SB is not paid enough.

Regarding AB's personal life, I have no issues. As far as I am concerned he might as well be married to AH with 2 kids in tow. Most Bollywood actors are married anyway. However when they appear on camera off screen they are not exactly busy manaoing their spouses. That can happen out of public sight. That's what I am finding hilarious now. Poor guy,always busy making up with AH. No wonder he is looking so tired these days.

The team of MKAP did well in the early days. They highlighted the USP of the show and got a good response too. However when it comes to innovation, enhancement and aggressive marketing of the show. They are failing miserably.To reach to the top is easier than staying there.

maybe ..........but then why was arhaan irritated and moody and bored.............😕and he was not even looking at AH..........😉and i don't think they were sitting far apart from the rest bec what we saw was edited aversion and only saw the 2 of them in the frame every time.........i mean , we didn't see that they were actually away.............and also when AS won the award they both stood up and clapped hard..........it looked like they were in the same side of their crew but in a different row.........

i don't care if whom he sits with.............its just that the media is making him out as a lost majnu.......😡 yes everything would be fine in a few days, the POPS can't afford to loose such a great show.................and actors............😊 and we all know how media works...........they have called yuvraj, harbhajan, shreeshant, abhishek and many what all names(with proof)....................still they r going strong na...............here they r doing it without any proof that's all..............i think he knows if he responds they will make some other story out of it and that's why he is silent............but he needs to say something soon.............not that we r desperate to know if he is single or not, i don't care for one, but for his own future...........😊

i think itz so early to say that d storyline is goin no where......we have to wait n watch what cv's r palning............their must b something in their minds tahts y theys howed shakti n arrushi's wedding............n saying about d interviews......both d leads,anupamji n ashmita.......mostly give interview togetheer about d show.......like koel's show.....big money,n others i don't remember wen they were not togetehr when it was about promoting d show........
