We do not quite forgive a giver. The hand that feeds us is in some danger of being bitten~Ralph Waldo Emerson,
GIFTS: SWEETS AND APPAREL GIVER: KOMAL
Komal returned from her maike bearing gifts from her parents on their happy occasion of the elopment of KN and Arusia. She tells her sasural she can't understand why they think Arusia destroyed her life by marrying KN. She continues to annoy them singing Arusia's praises "SS and SDS have made her the apple of their eyes. I can't believe it's the same Arusia at the Niwas, she is so happy". Komal happily distributes the gifts but in true Sax fashion they rejected anything that came from the Takurs. This was like rubbing salt in Saxes wounds. Dadi adds "We don't' want to celebrate what has robbed us of our joys". Komal tells the moping trio that they need to leave the hell and see how happy Arusia is with KN and her parents. Komal continues to rub it in, oblivious to how bothered the Saxes are hearing Arusia is happy with her parents. "At my maike even servants lead a happy life 100 times better than this green house". When she offered them sweets Dadi slaps it off her hand ...flashback..now we know where Prats got that trait from in the early days of her marriage. Vexed with her sasural she takes the sweets to her room for a bout of binge eating.
A gift consists not in what is done or given, but in the intention of the giver or doer.
GIFT: HAND-FED TREATS GIVER:TAKURAIN
At the Niwas SS teases Takurai that she is, "as they say in English "ignoring" little matters around the house since the arrival of their favorite new bahu". Takurain in the meantime is happily hand-feeding Arusia treats like she used to feed Krishna. She is feeding the future incubator of her potha, lets not forget, often her actions have secondary motives. When did these two become thick as thieves? šShe reminds SS that their future dreams are tied up with KN and Arusia. Does the Takurain ever do anything without a hidden agenda? This sends a warning signal to the chalak mind of Arusia who thinks a lot like Takurain. Are we sure she is not Takurain's long lost lovechild? SS sings the KN's praises "doesn't matter if I beat him with a stick or a slipper, he has done right by us. I held Baba's hand he ended up on my dancing on head". Too bad Baba wasn't around to hear this trash talking behind his back. He would have had a glimpse of the true colors of his parents. At the rate SS and SDS with KN's accompaniment these days he is bound to hear them sooner or later. SS asks KN to give him potha soon and openly fantasizes what it would be like to have the potha play with his beard. This is Arusia's first glimpse at the Takurs future agenda for her. Arusia squirms in place with a wooden face, the real plans of the Takurs is being revealed layer by layer and she is soon to get a picture of what her future as KN's mistress demands of her under the Takur's roof
GIFT: HOLLIMOON TRIP FOR ARATI GIVER: SS
SS agrees to send KN-A on hollimoon. Kesar stands by the kitchen and listens to it hurt by the inconsiderate chatter within her earshot. Arusia looks at Kesar, guilt written on her face as she listens to KN insult and ridicule his dark-skinned legal wife about being a jinx in his life. Takurain watches Kesar with sadistic pleasure, not an ounce of remorse in her bones for causing another woman to lose her unborn child. They are planning a hollimoon for KN with his mistress right under her nose and Kesar stands there muted? When will this woman ever speak up for her rights? If she doesn't stand up for herself who will? After a while watching a woman be a victim is just painful and makes people indifferent to her Such may be the case with the Takurs and the way they treat Kesar. With her silence she has given them permission to abuse her time and again and she needs to take some responsibility for her own behavior. After all as Eleanor Roosevelt said "no one can make you feel inferior without your consent". Remember Kesar "If someone betrays you once, it's their fault; if they betray you twice, it's your fault (Eleanor Roosevelt). Kesar quietly walks away. Arusia, living in your selfish world you didn't once think about the ramifications of your actions in the lives of other innocent people. You have to live with the consequences of your choices and actions. You dragged your assaulter by the hand, a married man and when through a charade of a marriage ceremony in the present of invitees to save face in the community even if the marriage was deemed illegal by law. All this was done with the intent to take revenge on your own sister without whose presence you were willing to call off your wedding to SCAM just a day or two earlier. As the saying goes "When the intention behind the act is wrong, so is everything that follows in its path thereafter. SS warns KN "Don't come empty handed like Prats or will get joota maar. Translation: Make sure the bun is in the oven before you return. KN promises SS he will give him a potha. SS gives KN the go ahead to enjoy his hollimooon and asks Takurain to make arrangements. KN doesn't realize that Arusia is a sly one, and his future plan to sire a gora potha could be nothing more than a free trip with all expenses paid plus a pipe dream. The rude awakening awaits him and who will pay the price for it is a mystery.šš²
The greatest gift you can give another is the purity of your attention ~ Rchard Moss
GIFT: SPEAKS FROM HIS HEART GIVER: KRISHNA
Prats hangs her saree and comes to sit by Krishna who continues to ignores her. She clears her throat and asks him to state what he wants, "Every time I go to my maike you mope around like this". Hello! š²Do you hear us?š Earth calling to Prats! šYou are the educated one, put two and two together and deduce your answer. She wants Krishna to tell her what he expects? He's been crowing since the beginning of their marriage and it has taken her this long to realize he too has expectations in their marriage? Wake up Prats! There are two of you in this marriage and the sooner you realize that the better." If you don't tell me how will know what to do or not to do". Krishna takes this opening from Prats and speaks candidly "What do I say? You listen to me and then do what you want, what's the point in speaking? Consider giving some attention here, it is your home. Every time a little thing happens you take off to see your maike and I am here, alone, getting an earful from the family. They don't miss a chance to make fun of you and I don't like any of it. I can tolerate what they say about me but not about you. They take every chance to point out when you are not here". Nice!šš¼ Concise and to the point! Take a few pointers from Krishna the next time you start your baashans.
It is easy to dodge our responsibilities, but we cannot dodge the consequences of dodging our responsibilities ~ Josiah Charles Stamp
GIFT: NO FUTURE ROOM FOR COMPLAINTS GIVER: PRATS
Prats asks Krishna "Can't I meet my parents in this situation? Krishna explains "I am not telling you not to see your folks. You can manage things here at home and also help your folks if you wanted to but you don't care". Prats appeases Krishna "OK, I get it. I won't give you a chance to complain about this again". Krishna is pleased "If you do this its good for both families". He switches subjects, now in a better mood "Oh! I forgot to tell you. We have a chance to travel again. KN and A are going on a hollimoon. How about us going on second hollimoon?" Prats questions if they need a second hollimooon? Is there anything left to know about each other? Prats, you're kidding, right? You have just started and there is plenty you need to learn about Krishna and his emotional needs and your journey has just begun. Your opinions not qualify as knowing the real Krishna in all his depth. That's going to take mutual and honest heart to heart talks and we're rarely seen you do that just yet. So keep your mind and heart open and give him the time of day before you go around making everyone's problems a priority over the needs of your own marriage. There is a whole lot more you need to know about each other, it's only just begun.... Krishna hugs her happily telling her that every day and every minute with her is a hollimoon. She hugs him but her distant look conveys that her mind is far away from Krishna making plans on averting her sister's impending hollimoon.

GIFT: A PROMISE TO GET ON HIS FEET GIVER: ADARSH
Komal helps Adarsh off the tum tum on to the bed. Komal complains about her life tied to tum tum and moving him around. Adarsh is hurt, tells her he is sorry she has to put up with so much bec' he is not back on his feet yet, but promises by next week he will. Komal's frustration finally unravels especially after she returns from her maike. Her marriage let alone her dreams have been postponed indefinitely. If anyone really needs a second hollimoon it's Adarsh and Komal. They are yet to get out of the gate in their marriage. Do KN and Arusia need to glorify their illegal relationship with a hollimoon. Out in public there is every chance the two could be thrown in jail for an illicit affair esp. if KN claims she is his wife when the real wife is back home still alive. Kriya have their Lubalub Corner and doesn't make any difference to them if they went on a second hollimoon or not.
I think the positive is that everything is in our hands ~ Salu Koivu
GIFT: SOME ADVICE TO THINK POSITIVE GIVER: NAINA
Naina gives Shamu advice to have a positive attitude and all will be well. As always Shamu gives a depressing response "If everything we said was good really turned out good then this would be the happiest family in the world". Shamu wallows in his own pareshaan. Shamu is broke now for he used to get Adarsh's help with expenses but now tit was not possible to meet medical expenses for two people. He decides it's time to close out the savings in his fixed deposit account to meet their financial liabilities. Naina assures Shamu she will make do for a while with her little savings. She then says the four magic words "I'll bring adrat chai". That if nothing else probably made Shamu's day and should perk his mood up some.
Thou art to me a delicious torment ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
GIFT: GETTING TO KNOW ARUSIA GIVER:KATRA NARESH
Arusia in kitchen and KN enters and touches her on the shoulder. She gives him a non-expressive look. Didn't she recognize the man she dragged to marry at the mandap. KN is excited and promotes their upcoming hollimoon like an ad........ "Get ready for hollimoon to a world you have never seen before. Will make our dreams come true". The real face of Arusia surfaces, she is afraid. She tries to reverse the plan "We are here together what's the need to go on hollimoon. We need to get to know each other". What for? You will bolt once you find out he is a wife beater, is a serial baby killer, has killed before, has criminal cases against him on IG's desk. Yet you chose to tie yourself to a man even after IG publicly announced at your engagement to SCAM that SS and KN were wanted criminals. Were you in a daze at the sagai that you didn't hear it? Or would you see it as a bade of honor that you chose to hitch yourself to a criminal? You had the gall to call Krishna names to Prats's face. At least he has his hands clean compared to his father and brother. Your life has more crap to flush out than you accused Prats of living married to Krishna. KN questions her "Why no need to go on hollimoon? There is so much ulta stuff going on here can't be near you. You are God given gift to meš², and on our hollimoon I'll be close to you. I don't understand about getting to know you, but I will be right near you as your husband. En route to our destination we will get to know each other". Prats who was about to enter the kitchen moves away and is bothered as she eavesdrops and watches her sister squirming in KN's arms with a disgusted look. Must have been painful for Prats with flashbacks of her own intimate moments with Krishna in this very kitchen.
Preview: Arusia nervously looks around to make sure no one is watching before she adds a pill to a glass of milk probably meant for KN who is eagerly waiting for her in his bedroom. Piasiya enters and surprises Arusiaš². Was that a guilty lookš? Will KN keep his hands off herš? Will Arusia continue to sedate or will she poison KN a little every day just to keep him away from her? Will the Takurs finally realize that the one they praised could have murderous intentions for their older son? Will RED finally realize Kesar's worth after all is said and done? Where will Arusia go after she is kicked to the curb out of the Niwas?
