Not only Pratigya but the also the rest of the clan dont seem to learn anything from past experiences. Has the Prof learnt anything apart from looking at his own humiliation. He should have in hindsight reflected on his decision to go to jail and the consequences that came from that.
May be if he reflected then he wont be so blind in accepting everything that Mathurs and Aman throws at him. He wont be eager to accept this marriage and would realise that the Mathurs are bullying him to agree to their demands for being the girls father.
