I may be in the minority but shouldn't Pratigya be standing up for what to me is a blatant attempt to emotionally blackmail the girls family by the Mathurs. I thought Pratigya's character was to highlight the inustices in society, especially woman's plight. Yet without thinking anything wrong in the condition, she meekly accepted it without even questioning it.

Forget the Thakurs for a second, but why should a girls family succumb to demands set by the groom's side. Do they think the demands will stop before the wedding, they will continue even after marriage.

I dont think u r in the minority Star...this Q was brot up before. Succumbing to such a condition once for now, Sax will ahve to do this alwasy in the future. Prof..wat do u expect from him? If such a protest against groom family wud have brot havoc to Pratigya's life...he wud ahve readily done it.

Khair, I dont think Pratigya was quiet coz she is from bride's family..she did may be for her sis..Arushi wud be hurt na...

Hami, It has not stopped her in the past to question the wrong. Even she did a token protest for Jai's incident. Her role primary is to show morality. She could have shown some token protest to educate the viewers on the wrong of the condition.

Her eyes are opening , Dhanya ...but the situation is not that serious as to warranta strong confrontation ..prolly she will tell him softly that she will not come or as I said she will be silent but whatever it is ...this is not the final and strong confrontation ..this will be the build up ..Already she has moved away from her father and began her walk on the lonely road .. The cutting of umblical cord will take time !! ofcourse, maybe she will find out the last minute about the women in purple sari and she along with krishna will try to stop the wedding and shyam would insult krishna and dismiss their claims and go on with the marriage........and will totaly ignore krishna in future always sticking up to aman like he did in the hospital..............he couldn't thank aman enough for rescuing adarsh but not even a smile for krishna who bought them food..........i mean for a naami gunda of the city he behaved like a prfect gentleman there...........

Star...she had always shown little partiality wen it comes to her father....according to her, its a deep rooted thot that her father can never go wrong..(remember he accpete to hide the truth from Krishna even wen she presonally felt hiding such a thing is wrong)...

She is yet to come out of that completely but she is deffo moving out of it...as Tanth pointed out this incident is one such wer she will begin to accept wrongs in father as well.

Very true, Hami.

Prof is very good at preaching righteousness but has never applied it where it mattered. He claims to be a progressive father yet his actions always convey the opposite. Aedarsh is just following in his footsteps. For the outside world he stays the right things but his actions never backs up what he says. At the mandap when marrying Komal he said we are equal, yet he shows open contempt and disrespect to his wife.😡

Pratigya is not a ideal role model ...She is flawed character with idealistic views ...and yes !! she would be fighting if the atrocity was direct ...here option was given " U want marriage , dont call Thakurs, or call off marriage if u want Thakurs " ...The ball was in Prof's court and Prof chose the former option ..and as we all know Pratigya has a blind spot when it comes to her Papa,

secondly it was free will , Pratigya kept quiet when Kesar withdrew complaint ..she did not berate her ....Pratigya knows that her father took this option voluntarily and was not coerced ..

Third, The injustice was on Pratigya directly and the Thakurs indirectly and we have seen Pratigya enduring lots of injustices in amma's Hands ..and not even one squeak escaped her ... deep within her she knows that Thakurs behaved badly ...so she is able to understand the reason

As for thinking demands will stop..if u notice ..Pratigya has never been shown to have the ability to forecast the consequence of her action ...Krishna possesses that forsight ..Pratigya was more of get justice for this action ..we will think of further action after seeing what happens and what new situation comes up kind of girl...so she has not processed the fact that this demand could be the beginning of lots of unreasonable demand ..

The parents ...for them this is an heaven sent opportunity ....they will not miss this for such trivial reasons..future will take care of itself ..but why shut the door on a glorious future for their young girl , just to maintain harmony with the cantankerous devil's ...At least let one child be happy ..and for Pratigya , Krishna is there ..he will protect her and safeguard her ...This is their thought
