Krishna forcing Prats to stop doing chores was a Krishna thing to do. He is slowly getting back to himself. Verbally hurting her is fine, but he doesn't want her to physically be harmed. Well, I guess halfway is better than none.
Then shock of all shocks (pun intended) Piassiya gets the charge from the clothesline and faints. I couldn't get over the incredibly self-satisfied look on Amma's face downstairs when she thinks it is the Princess they have just killed. And their surprise when they all see HRH running out after Krishna and rushing to save the maidservant. Foiled again.
How would they have liked it if Kesar or Komal touched the line? If it was Kesar, the baby would have died for sure, or gotten some damage. If it was Komal, um they would feel guilty forever. Somehow evil deeds seem good when it comes to getting their Baba back, including murder. What's one more death on these people's karma, right?
The scene where Krishna was out in the rain, soaking himself in his own thoughts was awesome. Any scene where he is reflecting is awesome because we don't need dialogues to tell us what he is thinking. Or to tell us, this isn't the older Thakur who has sawdust for brains.
Krishna coming in and taking off his wet shirt, a good beginning to a great scene. The Princess leaning against him was also sweet. I bet it was better than chocolate cake. When they finally fought, and she confessed her love at the final moment, the look on his face was priceless. Good timing because had Krishna not stopped her from putting the clothes on the line, he would not have heard those words. The old Prats is back, and that means the old Krishna is not far behind. It's not the cold Prats he missed, it's the Prats who fought for what she believed in. Because he is no different. And now that he once more doubted her love, he doesn't have to make her go away, she is all the more willing because the doubts make a mockery of her feelings, and of every time she has put herself in harm's way. Ironic that the scalding Amma gave her as revenge becomes the reason Krishna tells her not to do any housework. That scalding becomes the reason Krishna puts salve on her hand, though he doesn't know how she got it.
The shirtless scene was the confession scene for them both, I realized this while rewatching it. If Krishna did not want Prats to come near him, to dry him off or touch him, why did he remove his shirt in front of her instead of changing in the washroom? He is being a tease. This is absurd. Why did he stand there silently, close his eyes and enjoy it while she dried his back and face off before gripping her arm and pulling her off? If a woman did the same things and then backed off, she would be accused of sending mixed signals. Now it is Krishna who seems to be doing that. It's almost like he wants to forgive her, physically, but he can't emotionally so he has to throw the blame at someone. Her frustration at being flung off like a piece of clothing is understandable. Her confession is also believable, why else would she tolerate all of his garbage? The chillies in her rice, the cold looks, and indifferent behavior when noone is watching. Time Krishna wakes up to the truth, they have both made mistakes, and they are both worthy of forgiveness. Did he not stalk her at one point of time, did she not brush him off that a night like this would be beyond his imagination? Just don't keep her hanging forever, it doesn't become a person like you. She kept secrets from you, now she is keeping them for you, the harassment of her sister, the problems in her marriage, her inlaws continued harassment. Wake up and smell the sindoor.
The SS brigade think once they kill the Princess, the Prince will get over it if he thinks it's an accident. But what if Kesar and his friends tell him the truth. Then he will know it wasnt, and never forgive them. They have lost either way, because Krishna will never play his flute for someone else. What's meant to be is meant to be.
I don't think the maha episode really was that maha, but it wasn't bad either. My personal opinion, Mohabbatein music is kind of outdated. no other songs come to mind, but anything slow and recent. It was not unlike the promo where Prats and Krishna share a close moment, but then part once more.
