The Golden Glorious morning has begun ....and in walks chandu [as if going to give an audition for Johnson's baby powder] looking cherubic ,fluffy and cuddly clad in white .....he is promptly waylaid by the grouchy bear aka Shakthi who rears up scares him off...but don't fear, G.Daadi is here , One bell and the bear slouches back on its haunches ...and lo and Behold !! the bear Tamer ambles in ...Johnson baby gets delighted and rushes in for a hug...A brief hug and exchange of pleasantries !!..

Pratigya hops and skips into the living room and is delighted to see Chandu ...She warbles out "Arrey Chandu Bhaiyya !! "...Krishna immediately turns towards the sound [seems like he was just waiting to hear her voice, the speed at which he reacts ...the subdued delight and then immediate assumption of impassive mask ....👏👏] * Yaar Noutanki tho Tu kar raha hai , Ab yeh Gussa chodo..beebi ko chedo,pyar karo..Aish Karo , Babuwa * Chandu says he just came to inquire about the health of Bhaiyya ,Pratigya is all gracious hostess asks them to sit and says she will be back in a jiffy with coffee ...[oops did I say Coffee ... A blasphemy ... it is actually the drink of Gods and sax ..CHAI ] * Earlier Krishna used to go and stand near to Pratigya Now Pratigya goes and stands near him....nice understated depiction of role reversal *
Pratigya rushes back to the Kitchen to ruffle up some strength giving soul food and nourishing CHAI ...Krishna and Chandu retire to the lounge and lounge on the Couch !! Pratigya and Aarushi bring in the provender for the sustenance of Tan and Man , Pratigya and Aarushi then opt to loll on the couch and pass the time of the day ...Shakthi walks by silently radiating menace from every fiber of his body ...Chandu turns to Pratigya and inquires "Bhabhi, aren't you scared to live in this house ? ," ..Krishna who was idly scratching his eye perks up and gives a sharp look at Chandu [The first salvo has been fired , Krishna is getting a sneak peek of the events that happened in his absence...but no curtain raiser yet !] Pratigya is all smiles and replies "Fear , why shud I fear ?? Ur Brother is there to protect me " {Krishna looks mollified at her reply and his expression softens for an instant ,only for an instant ,but an instant nevertheless } ..The other member's are pleased at her reply..Chandu further continues praising Pratigya which begins to irritate Krishna ...Pratigya does not know how to deal with this and looks at Krishna , Krishna looks like he has swallowed something inedible...seeing his expression,Pratigya's lovely smile fades ...Chandu further continues and says one of the ward boy even told him the you are Kaliyug's Savithri...hearing this Krishna just gives one shooting and searing look at Pratigya and Pratigya holds it with a look pleading for understanding, but Na ! Krishna refuses to budge and drops his look.
This was a segment holding many tantalizing hints for Krishna...First the fact that something happened that had or that shud make Pratigya scared to stay on in Thakur's Mansion..the way he has reacted means he has made note of this statement..further future events will force him to reevaluate his family's attitude and will force him to find out the actual sequence of events...Krishna also got to know that Pratigya now trusts him and also that she has acknowledged that he will be there for her protection, he is her protector * that fleeting expression of mellowness , happiness ,wow !* ...It will not be I will take care of it myself anymore from Pratigya, It is Krishna will save me ...further it is once again reiterated that Pratigya is a chaste woman by someone uninvolved in the family dynamics...All this was heard in silence but in rapt attention by Krishna..I am sure this will replay when he makes his sporadic trip to that hill top ..The threads are there , Krishna ...Pick it up and begin to unravel the truth !!
Twilight zone, Moon shines [The Moon is of the same width from 2 weeks, doesn't it ever wane ??] ..The Hefty body Guards are engaged in guarding the Citadel ..The sax Sister's are busily pounding some grain with pestle...Kesar is cleaning the rice,,G.Daadi is relaxing in her chair ..Shakthi is getting ready for his shave [At Night ???...of course he has to be all charming and dashing...to lure the young innocents ...has to suck the blood of innocent girls ..na ..Now I get it 😆]
in other words ..a Picture of domestic tranquility [Wonder how long it will last ??]
Pratighya turns from her pounding [Hasn't Pratigya heard of flour mill where they do such kind of tasks using Machines , Surely Allahabad cant be so backward ] looks at Kesar and tells her to take rest, but Kesar refuses {Kesar looks all fresh and strong, A week of MIL's absence seems to have done a lot of good 😃]..Pratigya then gives a dampening news that Amma and Bauji are coming tonite [I thought they were at loggerheads , How then did Pratigya come to know of this before Kesar ??😕]..Hearing this Aarushi Pips up and says since they are coming tonite, I will leave in the morning [wise decision ]..Shakthi is jolted and gets a nick in the neck ..but the barber gets a slap... ..Calm returns ...G.dadi calls Aarushi towards her and blesses her and is still hugging her ..In walks Krishna ..looks on happily at this scene of domestic happiness inquires "What is happening here ?? *Looks at G.Daadi * says you never do any work..always you are draped on this chair decoratively and never lift a finger to do any work " {Look who is talking}"I am going to give u work, here take this [gives her bottle of oil ]...first put that bell on the table , you will not die if u let go of that bell,hold this . c'mon hold this ..Now massage my head ..But she is Rajanal's Dadi..She hands back the oil bottle to Krishna ..Krishna is confused and says "why are you giving me, you need it cos you have to massage ma head with it "..But Daadi points at Pratigya ..Krishna is still befuddled and takes a sec to understand his dadi's insinuation..Pratigya looks on yearningly [if left to her, she would have been happy to do the head massage the whole day ,or even more ]..But Krishna will have none of it ..He gives the oil back to Dadi ..saying "The Magic that your hands has , [Looks at Pratigya ] None have it "" *..OUch ! That hurts * his words hit the target , and Pratigya flickers her eyes as if to absorb the hurt and casts her eyes downwards to hide the sadness and Pain ..Daadi begins massage ...Krishna closes his eyes in pleasure ...says "Maza Aagaya" and gives a intense look full of deep emotions,unstated longing perfectly understood and returned in full by Pratigya with her soulful and wistful eyes, eyes brimming with love ..they continue to gaze steadily at one another unaware of the world...{ If the eye communication were to be billed, this two would run up a hefty bill}...
Seems like Krishna wants to be around Pratigya...Angry or not...he needs Pratigya ..and he needles her , taunts her but still cant have enough of her ....Never letting go of any opening howsoever slight to engage in an intense eye to eye combat ...and it is made more interesting by the fact Pratigya seems to return it with equal fervor ...His Eyes full of challenge, anger, determined to expose her charade, her eyes full of acceptance of the challenge, submissive and full of love .....Who will win ??
