A CALLOUT to POPs (Producers of Pratigya)
from W.O.P (Watchdogs of Pratigya)
Let's start with a thank you from the WOPs to POPs for all their hard work in bringing us a unique show 👍🏼that we've tuned into since the beginning.😃 Congratulations POPs!👍🏼 as you approach your 200th episode in a fortnight.👏
In recent weeks, we, the viewers feel like we have been on a bumpy ride trundling down the track. We are very concerned that the initial charm and uniqueness of this show is being compromised with the introduction of multiple tracks out of thin air while many existing tracks remain suspended. The deux ex machina resolution of the plots that disregards the internal logic of the story is frustrating to us.
We understand the show is being used as a platform to shed light on several real-life issues in smaller communities in India. However, POPs have recently introduced random, far-fetched tracks into the mix on the show😲😕. While the tracks put forth may address real issues the resolution is often contrived thus shortchanging us of the anticpated realism.😕 We feels like we've been taken for granted as loyal viewers who blindly tune in to watch any and every track dished out to us.😕
AUGUST ended up being the month of DISGUST... ''kaahe aap ne humre saath aisa kiya?" Why the sudden change in story telling? First week of August was all about the aftermath with the coal-face painting of Pratigya by the Takurs. Then we had a whole week of Saxsena's rona-dhona followed by a week of Takurs failed attempt at a Prat Barbacue. 😕
We were rewarded for sitting through two weeks of disagreeable episodes with a week of intense and gripping drama, a treat for fans of Krishna and Pratigya alike. We'd like to give a standing ovation👏 to Arhann Behll, Pooja Gor and the Takur family for their brilliant performances in the hospital scenes. ⭐️They were gut-wrenching and very moving episodes all at once. 👏
But before we could digest the high drama, the focus abruptly shifted to a marriage proposal for Arushi out of the blue from Aman Mathur . Arushi's character sketch is vague, is she of marriageable age or are the Saxsenas ready to marry her off to the first educated man who comes along with a proposal?
Honestly, we prefer less of the rona-dhona marathon sessions from the Saxsenas. We can only take this family in small doses especially after the recent tracks put them center stage.Who is going to call out the Saxsenas on their double standards and when? We would love to see Krishna be the one to call them out on it.👍🏼 How's that for realism?
If Adarsh and Komal are the parallel couple on the show why have they been given so little air time in recent weeks? There is plenty to address in the Komal/Adarsh marriage. Why relegate this couple to the back burner while Krishna and Prats take baby steps towards reconciliation? They are an interesting pair and we'd prefer to watch their love bloom instead of the Aman/Arushi love story that is not very appealing idea at the moment. Time will tell if we will warm up to this track or if it will be like watching wet paint dry.
These gripes seem insignificant when compared to the track that was introduced out of thin air and dragged around this past week. Was it really necessary to stretch Katra Naresh's reign of terror and Arushi's deux ex machina response for a whole week while we were teased into hanging in there for a few snippets of Krishna and Pratigya's much sought after moments? Was it necessary to pound us with the build up of that formidable track day after day that served to make our stomachs turn in repulsion? Mr.Jaswant Manaria has played the character of Katra Naresh to perfection 👏but this repulsive track has to end right now.😔
We tune into the show for entertainment and escapism from the treadmill of every day life. It's been all gloom and doom for weeks now. How about a few light-hearted moments in the coming weeks? A few one-liners from Krishna or Komal will do the trick.😉 We miss the happy-go-lucky Krishna Baba. Will he ever surface again to entertain us or will he, forever, remain a changed man?😕
Did we really need the sexual harassment track to distract us just so the Krishna/Pratigya love story can be delayed a little bit longer? Viewers have been longing for the Krishna/Prats romance to move along😳. We know this track is your trump card 😳😉to keep us hooked on to religiously tuning in every night. This carrot has been dangling before us for weeks now while the romance track seems to be moving along at a snail's pace. Just a gentle reminder.... fustrated viewers are not good for your TRPs.😕
There are a few scattered tracks still in suspension including SS's elections. The editing and continuity still needs some attention as well. After all it's all in the details.
We hope these glitches are addressed asap. We are looking forward to record TRPs⭐️ for this show in the months and years ahead.
