Pooja,

I agree ...She is in grave Danger..there is a hot stove, scalding oil...and we all know ..Amma is a vicious *****...If Piyasiya is there , she may control amma ...but if no one are present ..then God Save Kesar from Amma's wrath ..unless Kesar replies sensibly and reasonably by pointing out she never had the keys in her possession at all ??

The only other thing besides the election that matters to SS is his potha. So Amma will think twice about hurting Kesar too much. For something were to happen to the potha, Amma will be dead meat. SS will beat the living daylights out of her. Kesar has actually gotten a little smart these days. She is speaking up for Krishna and Prats. She is sneaking around food to Prats and also left the keys in place even though she never knew T/C would show up. Maybe she overheard Prats on the phone telling someone to come and get her while she was on the way to her room (happens to be across from Krishna and Prats's room.

That is the sign of an selfless person, an unselfish act to protect and defend the only two people she loves in that home. She always remembers that Krishna and she came and saved her baby that day. She is just doing a small favor for them in return. She will be the only happy person other than Ganti dadi in that home for Krishna and Prats themselves when they finally reconnect.

Aren't alot of men monsters? Sickos! Angry I am a man myself, but, I will never, ever touch even a hair on a womans head. Meaning, I will never abuse her in anyway, even if she was in the wrong, nor even if I felt she "deserves it".

Kanthan,

Are u a tamilian..ur phrasing hints at it ....😃

why confine to Asians..Men all the world over are monsters [ but not all men]..If only asian men monsters ...then there shud not have been any complaints of domestic violence's in America, Britain etc..but you do read about them ..and not only that..the graph is on a upward trend in America [esp during recession]..

So it would be incorrect to say that only Asian Men are violent..Monsters are everywhere ...

I deleted the Asian and Hindu references from my post. I had said that in the heat of anger. I have had Asian people tell me that while there is abusive men all over the world, they are more and worst in Asia. I think that this more depends on where one goes and who they have been in contact with as well as so many other factors.
But I myself am educated and know that this isn't always true. While there are alot of Asian and other men who are violent towards women, they really form a small fraction of the population, they just make alot of noise, which makes it look like theres alot more of them than there really is.
I always considered Asia, esp the Far East, the land of the highest knowledge and culture and had such a deep love for the cultures of the Far East, which I still do. In the early years of the 1990s, I did alot of research about Asia and it really intrigued me and there was something, possibly from previous birth that drew me to certain parts of Asia.
But on the other side, I heard the horror stories of domestc violence, bride burnings (like the one we hope to not see happen to our Prats), etc.. in many Asian communities and while I accepted that this does actually happened, I also hoped to the God that I would never witness it for myself, except for the odd occurance porttrayed on TV, or what we hear about in the news. And then suddenly, one day and several times after that, I actually witness it happen before my very eyes and find myself absolutely powerless to stop it as unfortunately, the perpitrator was twice the height and size of me and a whole lot stronger.
And now to this day, if I watch a Hindi or Tamil serial or movie and see a man misbehave with a woman, ie, pulling her hair, pressing her neck, twisting her arm, hitting her etc.. or the woman getting mad and sticking up for her abuser when another man tries to protect her, I remember what I witnessed myself before my own eyes and my blood just boils and my blood pressure shoots right up and sometimes even fly into a fit of anger. Of course, I react like that if I see any man act badly to a woman. Now, I try to do meditation and not watch these kinds of shows as these are not conducive to a peaceful mind. But every now and then...
My apologies for that which I said in my last post, As I said already, it was said in anger.

Kanthan ,

No apologies necessary ... You are stating ur POV... and I gave Mine ..

isn't it wonderful that a mere serial is strring us to such an extent that we are examining our actions. the actions of our society ..the norms of the world ...

what you said , all those atrocities exists ..I will not deny it ..but surely things are changing..for instance Sati is banned, More and more woman are not taking things lying down...Things are looking up yet conversly things are going downhill too..

the atrocities on women have become more subtle, more insidious and the disturbing thing is it is not happening in the so called third world, This phenomenon is spreading over a lot of European countries ..case in point ..Rihanna getting strangled by her BF ...or charlie sheen beating his wife black and blue...Sandra bullock being cheated , a Brit Mp confessing to his use of influence in trying to get his PA in bed with him ...

This is not a matter of culture ...this is a matter of ethics..ethics have changed, have become lax ...

Monsters come in all genders, shapes, colors and ages. There are women who beat up their spouses too. There are educated monsters who are sometimes the worst kinds as they masterfully manipulate the situation. Deep down everyone has some goodness in them. The acting out is just a symptom of the real issue that has been left unaddressed. It could go back to a devastating blow in early childhood. Rage, anger, are all a cover up for a form of fear that is too painful or scary to address.
