Shumi Di,

There is at least one incident in every ones life when they may have felt threatened. For young girls there is always this fear that such incidents could ruin their lives. Rolli's incident came to light because she is a public figure. There are thousand of such incidents taking place all over the world. Understanding their plight is as important as such girls are vulnerable and fearful of the double standards of our society. They seldom come forward and suffer throughout their lives. A little awareness and realization is much needed to at least feel their pain.

How things change when people are on the receiving end of rejection! Hope she learned a thing or two about real honesty from Krishna and how her choices can impact their future. Prats got a taste of her own medicine and I bet it didn't feel good. Hey Meera are you forgetting that Pratigya has always been at the receiving end? She has just been responding the only which way she knew so that further shame or insults would not take place. Tell me how many girls on this forum have been groped in a public place have successfully hit back at the man? How many have been able to stand up in front of family and public and say that they have been wronged in marriage and still be strong from within
Pratigya is completely broken from within as she has none but herself to pick up and be nice to. Krishna has always been a powerful person in thrusting himself on her in various ways. She had only silence and a few words to save herself.
How many girls will accept a man like Krishna on this forum in real life? All of us typing away into the night forget that a true life situation like this breaks a girl so well that her very presence gets to be burdensome to her.
What actually is Pratigya's fault in all this? That she dared to slap Angad? WOW! for that she had to marry Krishna and deal with his family. Why this hurtful and sarcastic comment on her? Has Krishna actually tried to understand his wife? Has he from the beginning thought about his actions No cos he is a spoilt rich brat. Ok the redeeming factor is he supports Pratigya all through. But when does he ever ask her or think for himself why did Angad want to kidnap Pratigya with his help? If Krishna had not fallen in lov ewith Pratigya wha twould have happened then?

Btw, the intent in that comment by me was an honest POV and no sarcasm was intended. I fully recognize that these are fictional characters and as such I comment on their behavior like a theater critic would a play on Broadway. I wouldn't dare to judge anybody in real life. I don't know them and even if I did, it's not my place to judge their lives for I wouldn't know a thing about who they are and what their lives are all about. Posting here is just an exercise in writing my views about a show I enjoy for being different from the rat pack of shows out there. It's fun to share POVs with other posters in the process and nothing more. I never forget that they are fictional characters.

I know such comments hurts even though its all fiction and fictional characters, But our point of view depicts our own personality and our own perceptions on some very important issues in life. IT always hurted me to read unnecessary bashing of some characters, I really used to think which angle certain posters are coming from and why. I mean saying stuff like " Sending Pratigya to dog house" always felt extremely pain full to read.

"Sent to the dog house" is an idiom often used in English literature to mean that they are out of favor or show of disapproval by us for the moment. Like a man says he forgot to call his wife so he is in the dog house with her. It doesn't really mean he is going to the DOG house. These are acceptable terms used in the English language and I use them as such to say more with fewer words and it makes for an interesting read, that's it.

I am not arguing the usage of these words as idiom or Phrase as we all used some sort of idioms every day. The use and placement of such words here seemed more like a damning phrase then a just a plain idiom usage.

So now people are quibbling on 'sent to the doghouse' usage and all . This when this same lot gathers in a thread daily to bash Krishna . This to Mera , who follows IF rules perfectly and gives quality posts , never once losing temper and talking on a personal level even by mistake . This to Mera whose mastery over English is par excellence and who would never use bad phraseology even by MISTAKE . What a laugh that its being pointed out to Mera of all the people what the INTENT of her phraseology was when the attacker himself calls members as FRUSTRATED , not even characters . . The purpose of such nepotism is the inability to bear any other viewpoint . So long as we praise Pratigya in this thread we are SAFE . No one will bother to hijack the thread and pick up an argument . Actually the arguments are done with the purpose of closing the thread down after unnecessary quibbling . So as Hope said , we lose both ways .Such members gather daily in their friends thread to bash Krishna and then enter pro Krishna threads to quibble and then get them shut down . The Live and Let Live policy is obviously not for them , its an aggressive stance . . The moment the quibbles start , Mods shuts quality threads down saying INDIRECT BASHING OF CHARACTERS IS NOT ALLOWED . And Such members win and quality posts are lost . So Sad , its become a PATTERN . I hope Mods Notices it too .

Thanks for your compliments, Kools!😊 Can't please everyone with my style of writing, it is what it is. As I said to a few posters when I first joined IF,my style of writing may be confusing or not appealing but then there are plenty of posts here to read and not enough time in a day to catch up.😃 I would request please move to the ones you prefer, this way everyone is happy and there is peace on IF. It's impossible and neither do I wish to impress upon anyone to like my post. EIther they do or they don't. I pass on the posts that don't work for me. It's like picking a book at the library. If you don't like it at first glance, pick another. I really like to keep the peace on my threads so all of us can enjoy the other posters POV and agree to disagree which is bound to happen even among those we agree with quite often than not.😃
