Sorry, I disagree about her not deserving this. 😊(Note: .I view this serial as a third person, do not take anything shown as being realism barring few issues here and there).
First of all what foolish person goes into a marriage just for revenge?...if marriage was a game then hey everyone would be marrying for one day and then moving on.
Secondly, the moment she found out the truth she should have insisted on telling the truth becuase these things always come out. We have repeatedly seen her running her maayka, they all listen to her even her parents and Dadi....so how come this time she kept her mouth shut? also her own father went to jail and refused legal service because he did not want the truth to come out. Now she decides to hire a lawyer and get him out. She knew all along the truth will come out.
Thirdly, she waits for the court date to be set and then decides that it's time to tell the truth. Only because she has no choice anymore - not because she thought that's my husband, I wanna make a go of this marriage so it's time I told him why I hate him and so on.....
fourth, she seemed to use him when it's suits her - having him drop her off at her maayka, deciding she wants to be friends even though the poor man was gasping for a shred of love from her and yet the moment he asked a Qs any friend would ask (about Aarushi running from home) the friendship went out the window. It always seems to be her way or no other way. Not to mention her speech 'dekho' or 'hamara bhaat manno'..!!
fifth, as an educated and clever woman, she should have known how SS and co would react. Why did she come back?...perhaps to salvage her marriage though heaven knows why. But my point is surely she wasn't expecting welcoming arms and Amma crying 'there, there darling...not to worry...'...that is the height of foolishess and stupidity. The Thakurs behaved perfectly fitting their character and showing the true reaction of those type of people. The only unexpected factor was Krishna - though why she is surprised I don't know, she certainly was blind when it came to him!
Does education teach you to devalue all that society holds dear? does education tell you to toy with someone's affection? does it tell you to lie by omission and yet proudly tell the whole world you are for truth and yet when it comes to your own, you'ld lie without twice a thought?!......There is a saying 'once you make your bed, lie on it'....she walked into this marriage for her own reasons, disregarding anyone and everything. People keep talking about Krishna being violent, well he was but be honest here - if he really wanted to hurt her or rape her then he would have. That is the truth.
